Whatever blessings and favours you have are from Allaah. Then,
when harm touches you, unto Him you cry aloud for
help.
(Surah An-Nahl 16:53)
The blessings of Allaah are innumerable. Allaah said:

...and if you count the favours and blessings of Allaah, never
will you be able to enumerate them; verily, man is
indeed an extreme wrong doer, an extreme ingrate.
(Surah Ibraaheem 14:34)
Allaahs blessings upon us must be safeguarded by obeying Him;
and the best way to safeguard blessings is knowledge, learning,
(acting upon) the Sunnah, being sincere to Allaah by properly
following (the Sunnah), and adhering to the truth in word and
action. Allaah says:

turning it back, and they will find besides Him no

(Surah Ar-Ra`d 13:11)
These aforementioned proofs are an elucidation of Allaah's
reminder of His blessings upon His slaves, the foremost of which,
unqualifiedly, is the blessing of Islam. Allaah mentions:

(Surah Al-Maaidah 5:3) Allaah has completed His blessings upon
his slaves with the blessings of Islam, the Sunnah, and the
knowledge bestowed upon this ummah, from the time He sent its
Messenger, till this day, and until whenever Allaah wills.
Amongst the blessings of Allaah upon us and mankind that most
people are unthankful for, are trials that befall us yet end. This
is Allaah's way with His creation. Allaah says:

We indeed tested those before them. Allaah will certainly make

(Surah Al-`Ankaboot 29:2-3)
Amongst the consecutive trials that have been inflicted, without
right or reason, is what occurred from some of the students of this
institute who studied here in the past and present. Shaytaan
instigated them thereby causing them to perpetrate vile statements
and actions that are still being spread. Allaah has warned us
against following the footsteps of Shaytaan in His statement:

not for the Allaahs Grace and Mercy on you, not one of you would
ever be pure from sins; but Allaah purifies (guides to
Islaam) whom He wills, and Allaah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.
(Surah An-Noor 24: 21)
Amongst these trials are a consecutive series of fabrications
which, as we earlier stated, were pre-organized. After all that
happened with the Raafidhees, and the betrayal and sedition of the
sheikhs -may Allaah guide them- the people criticized and found
fault in their negative stance. I thought that, perchance, this
(criticism) might serve as an admonishment that might deter them
from exploiting the enemys pressure upon us, either by writings
defaming and deriding us, or by aggrandizing the principles of
people that Ahlus-Sunnah have condemned, as in the book
'Al-Ibaanah'. Its author wrote its introduction during the thick of
the Raafidhee crisis in the sixth war. (I thought that the
aforementioned criticism might serve) as an admonishment to deter
them from betraying the truth, as they did recently. But next thing
I knew, they were holding a meeting with Sheikh Rabee` -may Allaah
grant success to all- in Makkah during Hajj of 1433H. They returned
(to Yemen) as time bombs upon their brothers, the da`wah, and
eventually upon themselves.

The first bomb to explode was Muhammad ibn `Abdil-Wahhaab
Al-Wasaabi. He went forth, declaring others Innovators, Kaafirs,
and wreaking fitnah in the da`wah. He seems to have deemed those
that met there to have dallied in delivering the pre-planned serial
onslaughts, so he rebuked them saying, "What mealy-mouthedness is
this?"
As a result many of them arose, uttering fabrications and
oppressing the da`wah in relation to which we are, as in the
statement of Allaah:

those who treat them badly), Then, behold! He,
between whom and you there was enmity, (will become) as though
he was a close friend.
But none is granted it (i.e. the above quality) except those who
are patient, and none is granted it except the owner of
a great portion (of happiness in the Hereafter and in this world
of a high moral character).

We trust in Allaah -all praise be to Him- that goodness is with
us even if the Raafidhees or others oppress us, and that the ones
who oppress us will be left devoid of goodness. This is
palpable.
M ~ }L : He likes not the aggressors.
(Surah Al-`raaf 7:55)
This proclamation entitled: "The Summarised Clarification of the
Harms of Al-Hajoori's Way" is an echo of the aforementioned
gathering. By Allaah, it did not upset me (i.e. Muhammad Al-Imaam's
proclamation), for indeed, Muhammad Al-Imaam -may Allaah grant him
success- has provided me therein with some valuable help. He
himself corroborates the fact that this uprising is devoid of any
underlying basis or top, except their fanatical partisanship for
Al-`Adeni. Whoever reads it will realize it is a perfect example
(of what I say). It is obligatory for the people to know about this
uproar that they have intentionally provoked from south, north,
east, and west: What is the reason for it?
They say: The reason is that Al-Hajoori declared one of the
students of Dammaaj -who is from amongst his students and

sat in his lectures- to have caused fitnah, resulting in
Al-Hajoori and his brothers in the institute clarifying (their
fitnah) and the ruling regarding their actions. This enraged the
sheikhs, so they moved heaven and earth because of it!
They themselves are well-known to have, aforetime, declared
certain people to be Hizbees or Innovators, yet no hue and cry was
raised, causing rifts or fitnah in the da`wah because of it;
likewise, those before and after them. This, as you have heard,
does not upset me, for it establishes the aforementioned fact.
As for his chronicling of certain events, it is in need of
comment; some of it is incorrect and untrue.
The first comment is on the title: The Summarised Clarification
of the Harms of Al-Hajoori's Way. This means that my path is
harmful; this statement is, likewise, an echo of the aforementioned
series, (in which it was said that) there is none more harmful to
the Salafi da`wah than I! Clarification of the erroneous nature and
remoteness from the truth of these statements has already been
made. The truth is what Allaah has made true, and falsehood is what
He has made false.
I am, in reality, compelled to clarify what is in this
'Summary', in order to compare my way with Muhammad Al-Imaam's

way so as to ascertain which one of them is actually harmful to
the Salafi da`wah, so I say:
1. Amongst that which you declare to be from my ways that are
harmful to the da`wah, is that I do not blindly follow any one who
is not a proof without a proof. This blind following that you
perpetrate is haram, harms the da`wah, and deepens the rift and
whoever thus strives shall bear his own sins and the burden of the
sins of whoever he leads astray. From this blind following is that
Sheikh Rabee` -may Allaah grant us all success- said that Yahya
must be forced to leave off that which you call his 'way or
method'. What he actually meant was that I must refrain from
declaring Al-`Adeni a Hizbee. Muhammad Al-Imaam transcribed this in
his Summary. I have already refuted this statement in "The lofty
advice part 2" as follows:
O Sheikh -may Allaah grant you success- this is wrong. By
Allaah, it is not for you to force me nor is it for me to force
you. It is not from the guidance of the Prophets, nor is it from
the conduct of the scholars that we learned from (to say), Force
him! He must be forced! Allaah said to His Prophet:
-

M L : - So remind them, you are only one who reminds. You are
not
a dictator over them.
(Surah Al-Ghaashiyah 88: 21-22)
Advice is far better than main force. You advise and I advise.
Brotherhood and mutual love and are better than imposing oneself
from above. O Sheikh, whole countries fail to force certain people
to yield to their will! O Sheikh, I do not think that you are able
to compel your own sons were they to disobey you. I, by Allaah, am
not able to compel mine if they disobey me. I am engaged in da`wah.
Neither you, nor anybody else can deny that. How can you
contemplate forcing me while I have thousands of men behind me -and
all praise belongs to Allaah- all of them upon the Sunnah and the
truth is with me? If you issue a statement they shall issue many
more, by Allaah. I am at present withholding a number of
refutations (they have written on this affair). How can you force
me? This is incorrect -may Allaah bless you and give you success.
Allaah has said:
M L : -

M 0 / . -L : And recommend one another to the truth, and

one another to patience.
(Surah Al-Asr 103: 3)
(As for your saying), It is incumbent to force him to such &
such!, then this is not correct. Now suppose you caused a group of
my brothers to rise up against me -I ask Allaah to protect us and
you from this. Whether they be from those who used to be here, or
from those influenced by those who used to be here and this is not
correct- and attempted to put pressure on me by using these people
and Sheikh so-and-so or Sheikh so-and-so to compel me to say such
and such? I will not do so, by Allaah! By Allaah, we did not learn
this from our Ulamaa; Force such and such to do this, or such and
such to do the other! We learned gentleness, (from them, such as
the hadeeth):

MU T S R Q PV L :
And say to My slaves that they should only say those words that

(Surah Al-Israa 17: 53)
As for forcing, then this speech can only come from one in a
state of agitation. O Sheikh, may Allaah pardon you.
So they now wish to use main force from all directions in this
futile onslaught against the da`wah in order to compel me to say
that Al-`Adeni is not a Hizbee. This forcing me to retract my
opinion is blind following of Sheikh Rabee`. These are the same
people that visited me here in the wake of Al-`Adenis fitnah and
said, Let us not differ about him. You deem him to be a Hizbee; let
us not differ. Let us call to Allaah and not differ because of him.
But now they fanatically cling to him and fabricate this fitnah!

2. From my way, is that I am engaged in knowledge, da`wah, and
goodness, and all praise be to Allaah. If a trial befalls me or
this da`wah, then I defend it as is in the statement of Allaah:
M
L : -
And indeed, whosoever takes revenge after having suffered wrong,
for such there is no way (of blame) against them.
The way (of blame) is only against those who oppress people and
wrongly rebel in the earth, for such there will be
an excruciating torment.
(Surah Ash-Shoora 42: 41-42)
I defend a da`wah that has filled the country with its good.
They themselves admit this, but then impede this good with its
opposite!
3. I do not sow dissension between the callers to Allaah. Sowing
of dissension in the da`wah is being carried out by other than
myself, not by me and they know this. This dissension between the
callers to the Sunnah in

Yemen is being sown in order to cause internecine strife in the
da`wah these statements (of theirs) corroborate that.
4. I never start. Whenever someone causes commotion in the
da`wah and comes with a corrupt `aqeedah, I point his mistake out
to him. So then, they start and not us. We and our brothers -all
praise be to Allaah- are immersed in our own affairs. Little do we
realise except that they have gathered against us from here and
there; this one says, So and so is with us! and the other one says,
So and so is with us! turning blind eyes to the Sharia infractions
that their actions entail. But no multitude, however large, can be
of any avail in opposing the truth. Sheikh Rabee` threatened me a
while back that people would arise against me. Every now and then I
see the realization of that threat in these upheavals.
5. Is it from my harm to the da`wah, O Sheikh Muhammad -may
Allaah grant you success- that I give support to the Raafidhees??!
Because this does indeed bring harm to the da`wah assisting
falsehood and its people- so much so that some of the Hoothees
(Raafidhees) recorded and spread (the audio of) you saying that the
Rafidhees are Muslims and that they are this and that; and other
statements with which you have supported

have knowledge?! The man has studied in Iran and other places, and
most likely has a post-graduate degree! Yet you say, "He is an
ignoramus!! You wish to slip away from the Raafidees, fawning and
grovelling in front of them in front of those whom it is obligatory

highway robbery, and other evil that you well know of. But instead,
you persecute us, the centre that you studied in and the people
that call to Allaah and teach the Muslims that which you have not
done!
I and all praise is due to Allaah- do not defend those who
deceive themselves and committed crimes against the da`wah and
caused fitnah in it; not Al-`Adeni nor other than him; and I do not
fanatically take sides for his sake.
So, is it me or you that is harming the da`wah? The fitnah
Al-`Adeni wrought among us is notorious. I asked you (the sheikhs)
to come here to advise him. You yourselves were averse to the issue
of registering. During most of that sitting, by Allaah, I remained
silent, while they blamed him. Muhammad Al-Imaam said to him: The
new Bakri! Sheikh `Abdullah said to him: It is from under your feet
that this fitnah has sprung! Sheikh Muhammad ibn `Abdil-Wahhaab
said to him: Why are you undertaking this registering? Al-`Adeni
replied: You, O Sheikh Muhammad, told me to do it! He said: I did
not say that to you! Al-`Adeni said: O yes you did; you also said
that (in my institute) there should be a graveyard and a place for
the `Eid prayer! Muhammad ibn `Abdil-Wahhaab replied saying: Why
did you take my advice alone? Why did you not also seek advice from
the other Sheikhs? and so evaded him.

(alleged) harms that I have brought about? Since the time of
Sheikh Muqbil may Allaah have mercy upon him- the Hizbees say to
their comrades: If you want to study go to Ma`bar but do not go to
Dammaaj because Sheikh Muqbil speaks about the people, and so
forth. To this day you accommodate them as students at Ma`bar,
holding them in high esteem and respect, whereas the Salafis with
you have to gulp the bitterness of humiliation and harassment.
Hizbees like Muhammad ibn Moosa Al-Baidhaanee visit you and praise
your interactions with them.
More recently, if Muhammad Al-Imaam comes to know of anyone
afflicted by Hizbiyyah who once studied here at Dammaaj and
thereafter went astray, insulting his teacher, and the place he
studied at, (what does Muhammad Al-Imaam do?) he bestows wealth on
him generously, encouraging him in his insulting behaviour, enmity
and injustice and undeserved disparagement against the place he
once studied in, denying the good, insulting the one who taught him
and his brothers and colleagues. This is fomentation of evil!
Benefits gained from the Salafi da`wah are for all the Muslims
here, there, or anywhere. But I have seen things from them which
are incorrect. I and those of sound-reasoning are astonished.

Even though here -and all praise is due to Allaah- Daar
Al-Hadeeth is progressing in one direction; towards knowledge and
the Sunnah. Day and night the masjid is full of worshipers,
praying, standing in night prayer, remembering Allaah, reciting the
Quran, revising; continuous lessons. Near midnight, the masjid is
still full. If you enter (you will find it) full of good, day and
night; and that is how it is all the time. So why, brothers, -may
Allaah correct you- this fabrication against the good? Why squander
these blessings and collaborate with those that envy us them, to
the extent that the people are now averse to you due to this?
I would not cause a rift in the da`wah because of anyone that
has been spoken about. Bring me one case of you, Sheikh Muqbil,
Sheikh Rabee`, or any scholar having condemned someone, and I
thereafter having stood by that individual; especially so if the
Sheikhs adduced proofs. I have never done so. I would never side
fanatically, cause a rift in the da`wah, and thereby carry the sin
of the fabricators and fitnah-mongers against the da`wah all
because of one person.
The reality is that this statement of Muhammad Al-Imaams
confirms that which I had in mind; which is that there is no motive

(excessiveness) if you are doing all this because of
`Abdur-Rahmaan Al-`Adeni despite what you yourselves know about his
fitnah of old. Did you not already admit his mistakes at the
gathering with Sheikh Rabee`, when `Abdul-`Azeez said: Sheikh
Rabee` did not ask Sheikh Yahya to pardon `Abdur-Rahmaan Al-`Adeni
except because he was wrong. When you visited us here in the
beginning of this fitnah, you drew his attention to his mistakes.
Thereafter the issue of registering was stopped and his masjid was
to be under the supervision of the Sheikhs and so on. Muhammad
Al-Imaam is now attempting to distort all of these realities!
When Al-`Adeni went to `Aden I said: If he does right and

wrought fitnah in the da`wah! Therefore, I say to you: How is it
that you defend falsehood, and disobey Allaah by arguing for one
whos wrongs you know of, teaming up together because of him, and so
squandering away the good that you are upon.
As for us here, we are at ease, safe and sound. The da`wah is
proceeding well. We are wronged but Allaah aids us and we repel the
evil with that which is better. People are racing to this blessing
and bounty. They are becoming learned in the deen; they are
bewildered at these antics of yours. Our brothers go forth from
here and teach the people, calling them to Allaah, warning them
against the evil attacks upon this land by the Raafidhees and
others. Meanwhile, you busy yourselves greatly from these important
affairs, with transgressing against your brothers, Ahlus-Sunnah,
with empty argument.
In the sixth war the Raafidhees transgressed against us. We were
unaware that they were actually capitalizing from the distress and
difficulty we were in and putting together the book, Al-Ibaanah,
out of fanaticism for Al-`Adeni. They adduced therein principles
belonging to Abul-Hasan, taken from his and the writings of many of
those who have previously been refuted (by Ahlus-Sunnah), thereby
refuting Ahlus-Sunnah in order to defend Al-`Adeni!

Consequently, O Sheikh Muhammad, I give you some words of
advice: By Allaah, you do not have the necessary competence to make
refutations!
Muhammad Al-Imaam set out defending Abul-Hasan in the beginning
of his fitnah and made certain remarks that were held against him
by Mustafa Mabram. All of a sudden, behold! Poor Muhammad was in a
rather embarrassing situation! You do not have the necessary
competence -may Allaah correct you. We are, in this situation,
comparable to the (old) adage:
Why do you thus ill treat me? (He said:) Ask the one who beat
me! (i.e. you have been pushed into speaking about me).
Also, is from the harm that I have inflicted upon the da`wah,
the fact that every time a fitnah comes I stand in defence of it as
you do? When Abul-Hasans fitnah came you wearied me, and the people
are witness to that. While I was tiring myself out explaining his
fitnah, you were there defending him! Even Sheikh Muhammad ibn
`Abdil-Wahhaab said: If only we had come to your aid from day one.
One of you went so far as to say: Al-Hajooree is not able to teach
Abul-Hasans books. How can he refute him? Because of Muhammad
Al-Imaams wavering at that time, a group of people signed a
document freeing themselves from those

who spoke about Abul-Hasan. Until now they remain astray except
for the odd case. After that, Allaah facilitated things by Sheikh
Rabee` -may Allaah reward him. We came together and kept in touch.
He said (to the Sheikhs): Why do you not arise? So they arose and
proceeded upon that, and barakah is from Allaah. That is the truth,
by Allaah. I am mentioning the facts. Why do you dupe the people,
and brag about that which is not true.
When the fitnah of Jam`iyyah Al-Hikmah came you wearied Sheikh
Muqbil, to the extent that he wrote about it in Tuhfah Al-Mujeeb
complaining about your antics. He said:
Our brothers (i.e. Muhammad Al-Imaam) who gather with the people
of Jam`iyyah Al-Hikmah at Ma`bar are gullible. Have they forgotten
that I already met with them here in Dammaaj, and that we signed a
document, and that a tape was released entitled Tamam Al-Minnah Fee
Ijtimaa` Ahlus-Sunnah? Have they forgotten that `Aqeel came to me
when I was in Ta`iz and said: O Abu Abdir-Rahmaan (Sheikh Muqbil),
I am not at variance with you. He travelled with us for the
remainder of the journey then stood and said: I have left Jam`iyyah

Az-Zindaanee likewise. So much so (did he associate with them) that
the Ikhwaan Al-Muslimoon would say, Let whoever wants to study go
to Ma`bar (Muhammad Al-Imaams institute). Let nobody go to Sheikh
Muqbil, he is extreme. Do not go to Dammaaj. They approved of
people going to Ma`bar but it did not please them that anyone come
here. I and others were present when Sheikh Muqbil summoned him to
advise him. He said to him, O Muhammad, applying ointment to
scabies just wont do! When he left he authored his book on
elections and rectified his conduct.
That which I believe Inshaa Allaah- and is known by all truthful
just people, is that I proceed according to the light of The Book
and Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah upon Salafi da`wah. Were our
da`wah harmful to society these Salafis should not be seen
thronging to it, bound for Damaaj from all over the world. By
Allaah, they see the benefits, knowledge, and that which is to
their advantage. Behold, books being published, lessons taught
morning and evening, and great barakah; Al-Hamdulillaah!

What harm has been done to the da`wah? By Allaah, we are not
Sufis, neither are we Raafidhees, nor do we defend them. By Allaah,
we are not Hizbees neither do we defend them or have any Hizbees
here. We do not, unlike yourself may Allaah rectify you- suffer
them to remain here. Neither do we perpetrate that which was
perpetrated aforetime by the jam`iyyaat with the students of the
Sheikh may Allaah have mercy upon him- not wrought even by (the
Hizbee association of) Ihyaa At-Turaath, who used to take the
Sheikhs students and turn them against him. Their fitnah was
lighter and their manners towards the Sheikh and this institute
were better than those of many of these troublemakers.
Also, if this way of mine is harming the da`wah, bring forth one
book of mine in which I defend falsehood, advocate the principles
of those who oppose Ahlus-Sunnah, and wreak fitnah upon the Salafi
da`wah!
Now, Sheikh Muhammad (Al-Imaam) has authored Al-Ibaanah, in
which he advocates those erroneous principles (of his). I have no
idea as to who it is that could have collected those principles for
him. He was advised regarding them. He was told, You have written
this book in the name of Ahlus-Sunnah yet it contains that which
opposes that which they are upon! yet, still he persists (in
publishing it)!

O Sheikh Muhammad may Allaah rectify you- think before you speak
about me harming the da`wah. I have just acquainted you with
several academically demonstrable errors that prove that it is your
way that is harming the da`wah.
Muhammad Al-Imaam compiles books opposing the da`wah yet does
not consider them harmful to the da`wah, but if we refute any
errors he declares it harmful to the da`wah! Amazing!
Before reading this Summary of his I should like to summarize
some of the points I will make.
1. Their confession that they rose against this institute solely
out of fanaticism for Al-`Adeni and for him only. This is the
irrefutable reality. Whoever contradicts this has no proof. It was
but fanaticism for him.
2. Their distribution of only certain parts of the Sheikhs last
will and testament. He requested we should come together to solve
our problems, not fanaticism and uprisings against his institute.
Do you think he would have approved of this transgression of yours?
Do you think that if someone were to come and take names in this
institute (to take students) during the Sheikhs lifetime he would
approve? Do you yourself approve of someone taking out their pen
and taking names of

those in your institute to take them elsewhere and cause them to
rise against you as enemies?
3. Their constant reminding of the Abul-Hasan fiasco. Everybody
is aware of the appalling stance they took during it. They
constantly repeat, Abul-Hasan this, Abul-Hasan that, despite the
fact that (in that particular fitnah) it was they that adopted a
detrimental negative stance. Yet here he is impudently boasting
about it, and despite the fact that he is actually regurgitating
many a principle that Abul-Hasan himself used to wreak fitnah with!
He has taken them for his manhaj; he calls to and propagates it in
Al-Ibaanah. But now, like the old proverb says:
She accused me of being afflicted with her disease then snuck
off.
He now audaciously claims pretence (to that which he never
achieved). He emulates those regarding whom Allaah said:
M C B A @ ? > = < ; : 9 8L :
Think not that those who rejoice in what they have done (or
brought about), and love to be praised for what they
have not done

Ibn Katheer said in his tafseer: Allaah refers here to the
ostentatious braggarts who brag about that which they have not
achieved, as reported in Bukhaaree and Muslim; the Prophet said:
Whosoever makes a false claim in order to feign achievement, then
Allaah will increase him in nothing but loss. It is also reported
in Bukhaaree and Muslim that the Prophet said: He who claims that
which he has not done, is like unto
he who wears two false robes. Al-Bukhaaree said: I was informed

Messenger of Allaah, when the Messenger went forth on a campaign
the hypocrites would stay behind and rejoice at having done so
against the orders of the Messenger of Allaah. When the Messenger

delight in being praised for what they had not done. It was then
revealed that:

what they have not done (Aal-`Imraan 3: 188)
Thus was it reported by Muslim. The writings of Sheikh Rabee`
-may Allaah protect him- in his Compilation of books and treatises
provide us with more information: A call came from the Emirates
from one `Abdur-Rahmaan `Ayshaan for `Abdul`Azeez Al-Bura`ee. He
asked him about me (Sheikh Yahya). `Abdul`Azeez answered, They are

When Muhammad Al-Imaam returned to Ma`bar after the meeting he
said, With every meeting I gain more insight into Abul-Hasan and he

as a leader (in the field of knowledge). End of quote.
4. Muhammad Al-Imaam has already stated that the Al-Wahyayn
website is under supervision of Sheikh Rabee`. He here, in his
Summary, reiterates that they went and requested Sheikh Rabee` to
put a stop to their vilification of me. This shows that the
previously mentioned website, along with all its anonymous writers
and the fitnah it wages against us, is under supervision of Sheikh
Rabee` -may Allaah grant him success. He has the authority to stop
them whenever he so pleases. They used, aforetime, to unequivocally
condemn these anonymous writings on websites against Ahlus-Sunnah.
But now, in this fitnah and other than it, they have changed their
stance towards us and adopted an O so new approach. This was a
preamble. Now to this publication and relevant comments.

Allaah brought forth, in our time, our Sheikh, the scholar of
hadeeth, the erudite, Muqbil ibn Haadee Al-Waadi`ee may Allaah have
mercy upon him. He called to Allaah and taught, with knowledge and
understanding. Students of knowledge from far and wide flocked to
him from here and abroad. Indeed, no scholar has been travelled to
in Yemen, after `Abdur-Razzaaq ibn Hammaam As-San`aanee, like our
Sheikh, Al-Waadi`ee. And still they continue to pour in. May Allaah
have mercy upon Sheikh Muqbil. What an excellent way. By Allaah, we
wish you may Allaah grant you success- would tread the same path in
earnest defence of the Sunnah, not defending the adherents of
falsehood, but refuting the people of desires. In Al-Ibaanah
Muhammad Al-Imaam refutes Ahlus-Sunnah and advocates the principles
of others. If we refute someones errors he declares it harmful to
the da`wah! Most amazing of principles indeed! This is incorrect;
especially so in academic refutations which clarify mistakes to the
people and guide them to what is correct. They are from our Deen
and `Aqeedah. Imaam Al-Bukhaaree refuted in Khalq Af`aal Al-`Ibaad.
Imaam Ahmad authored many a refutation, likewise Imaam Ibn
Al-Mubaarak. Show me one Imaam who did not author any refutation.

refutations. Whether it be against a straying deviant or a Sunni
who has fallen into error and is at variance with what is correct;
his mistake may harm the da`wah, so all should be refuted
accordingly. Muhammad Al-Imaam: So Our Sheikh remained in Yemen for
over a quarter of a century, dedicating himself to knowledge,
teaching and calling to Allaah until the decreed appointed time
(death) overtook him. Yes -All praise is due to Allaah- multitudes
benefited from his knowledge. Some sought knowledge for ten years
and some of them for more than that. Our Brother Sheikh Muhammad
stayed with Sheikh Muqbil for around three years or less than that.
Next thing you know, off he went in the Name of Allaah!
Establishing an institute despite the fact that he himself was
still in need of taking on more provisions (knowledge)! So much so
that some of those who left Dammaaj after the death of the Sheikh
used to teach Muhammad Al-Imaam grammar, others used to teach him
some other topics, and so on. If he was sought to issue a fatwa he
would refer it to someone who was in Dammaaj. For this reason he
has contrived to produce such a bewildering array of oddities. I
speak a word of truth. It is a pity. Muhammad Al-Imaam: So May
Allaah have abundant mercy on him and make him reside in His Vast
Paradises. He

made a great wassiyyah (will) before his death but many
infractions (of it) have taken place. Whoever came to know about it
came to know about it and of that mentioned in the wassiyyah. This
is the wording of it (The Will): And I advise my brothers for
Allaah, Ahlus-Sunnah, to devote themselves to beneficial knowledge
and be truthful and sincere to Allaah. If a disaster befalls them
then the people of Al-Hal wal`Aqd (authority) must get together (to
look into it); the likes of Sheikh Muhammad ibn `Abdil-Wahhaab
Al-Wassaabi, Sheikh Abul-Hasan Al-Maribi , Sheikh Muhammad
Al-Imaam, Sheikh `Abdul-`Azeez Al-Bura`ee, Sheikh `Abdullah ibn
`Uthmaan , Sheikh Yahya Al-Hajooree and Sheikh `Abdur-Rahmaan
Al-`Adeni. And I advise them to consult the wise admonisher
Muhammad As-Sawmali in their affairs, for I used to consult him and
he used to advise me with right guidance. Now, they did not fulfil
this condition, this obligation, which they were to execute by
striving in solving affairs with obedience to Allaah, not by
fanaticism. Indeed, they have perpetrated most offensive fanaticism
and caused a rift in the da`wah. Muhammad Al-Imaam: Abul-Hasan
Al-Maribi Al-Misri separated himself from his fellow Sheikhs
sometime after the death of our Sheikh , and what is known to you
took

place. But still the above mentioned Sheikhs kept the will (of
Sheikh Muqbil) before their eyes. Abul-Hasan rose up against this
institute (Dammaaj) as the people of the jamiyyaat rose against it
before him, likewise Al-`Adeni. But all Praise is due to Allaah,
for Allaah has preserved the da`wah from them. They wrought fitnah
and right now you are emulating them in rising against this
institute. We ask Allaah to grant you right guidance. We are not
desirous of your being afflicted by the fitnah as they were
afflicted due to transgression against this institute. As for the
wasiyyah (will), they did not keep it before their eyes. Rather,
between the will, and their execution of the will and this fitnah
(against the Da`wah) lies the distance between the east & the
west. They have fanatically sided against this wasiyyah (will),
Sheikh Muqbils da`wah, his institute, and all of his students who
refused to accept your incorrect methods. Did the Sheikh bid you
all rebel against the da`wah and fanatically side against it?!!!
Can a wise man say this? Muhammad Al-Imaam: Thus, whenever a fitnah
takes place between Ahlus-Sunnah in Yemen they strive to solve it.
It has now been almost seven years. How can you claim that they
strove to solve it? Where was this striving of theirs in the
beginning of the Abul-Hasan affair? Allaah brought forth someone to
drive you back

from standing against the da`wah. After that some of them said,
We do not know exactly what principles Abul-Hasan was at variance
with, but he caused a rift in the da`wah! Thus, their proof was
that he caused a rift in the da`wah. In reality, they did not
abandon him because he advocated illegitimate principles;
Al-Ibaanah itself contains those very principles! They abandoned
him based on Al-Imaams principle of: We do not abandon a person
until he abandons us. So when Abul-Hasan spoke against them they
left him, thereby giving priority to their own selves over the
Salafi Methodology concerning one who was in opposition to some of
its principles. If they condemned him of causing a rift in the
da`wah then this Al-`Adeni has caused a greater rift. He has
wrought fitnah in its bastion in Yemen. No matter what means they
employ to attempt to clear the aforesaid (Al-`Adeni) from causing a
rift in the da`wah they shall find no evidence. Were you to weigh
(both of these affairs) with justice (it would be apparent that)
this one has caused a rift and so has this one, yet they are
against one and in favour of the other! Muhammad Al-Imaam: The
dispute between Sheikh Yahya and `Abdur- Rahmaan Al-`Adeni has been
going on for almost seven years.

Rather, it is obligatory upon you to instead say: Al-`Adenis
transgression. That is justice, if Allaah would grant you Success.
Al-`Adeni betrayed the da`wah, registering (people for his
institute) in the circle (of knowledge). We even provided them with
vehicles for them to call to Allaah. Some people used to go forth
with Al-`Adeni and it was not long before they too turned against
the da`wah. Muhammad Al-Imaam: So the Sheikhs ( Sheikh Muhammad ibn
`Abdil-Wahhaab, Sheikh Al-Bura`ee, Sheikh As-Sawmali, Sheikh
Ath-Thamaari and Sheikh Al-Imaam) all of them took the initiative
for rectification. Thus, the meeting took place in Daarul-Hadeeth
in Dammaaj (May Allaah safeguard it) where we united the two
sheikhs (Al-Hajoori and Al-`Adeni). This statement is not correct;
that they were the ones who united us. Rather, I invited them from
here so that they should advise him, because they were averse to
that registration before coming. They said that all the other
(Salafi) institutes were not founded upon this. Muhammad Al-Imaam:
We heard from both sides In reality they criticized him. It was not
an invitation between me and him as portrayed by Muhammad Al Imaam.
Al-`Adeni left that meeting having been convicted.

Muhammad Al-Imaam: And the agreement was that Sheikh
Abdur-Rahmaan Al-`Adeni should stop the registration for Fuyoosh
because of several issues. He should stop the registration they
said: Because this registration never took place in any other
institute and no other institute was founded upon this registration
and because it is a cause for fitnah. Thus they said. Why do you
not then clarify these issues? Muhammad Al-Imaam: They requested
Sheikh Yahya to retract the speech which he had issued against
Sheikh Abdur-Rahmaan Al-`Adeni defaming and labeling him as a
Hizbee. This is not correct, by the Lord of the Kabah! I had not,
at that time, yet declared him in any tape to be a Hizbee. I had
not yet issued that in any format and they never made that request
from me. Subhaanaka! (Disassociated be You from all that is
(falsely) ascribed to You) Oh Rabb! What is wrong with this man?
Muhammad Al-Imaam: So Sheikh `Abdur-Rahmaan Al-`Adeni stopped the
registration. He temporarily suspended it then resumed it. So what
exactly did this suspension indicate? It shows that, since that
time, they considered him to be in the wrong. After a few months he
and those who were with him returned to what

they were upon, despite having agreed to stop; this is well

had been suspended until it came under the supervision of the
Sheikhs. But he deserted, ignored them, and betook himself to
others, leaving them behind him. He couldnt have cared less about
them. He then employed others to put them under pressure until they
fell in line. Muhammad Al-Imaam: Sheikh Yahya did not remove the
statements issued against him even though the sheikhs requested
Sheikh `Abdur-Rahmaan to apologize to Sheikh Yahya. This is a
distortion of the truth. It has been clarified in the previous
point. Muhammad Al-Imaam: Sheikh `Abdur-Rahmaan later left Daar
Al-Hadeeth in Dammaaj and went to `Aden. Sheikh Yahya said,
Abdur-Rahmaan is not to return to Dammaaj. We contacted Sheikh
Yahya and said, You have spoken enough about Sheikh `Abdur-Rahmaan
Al-`Adeni. But Sheikh Yahya continued to speak about Sheikh
`Abdur-Rahmaan Al-`Adeni and declare him a Hizbee. Subhaanallaah!
By Allaah, brothers, this is untrue. Rather he kept in touch with
me and condoned my expulsion of `Abdur-Rahmaan saying that this
wards off fitnah and will hopefully bring it to an end. They later

after Al-`Adenis departure. They said, Let us not differ because
of him. They all condemned him. Now, he claims to have contacted me

Al-`Adeni. This never happened! From where does he produce such
speech? O Allaah, be gentle with our hearts! What I say is
supported with evidence. Bring forth your proofs! As said by Sheikh
As-Sawmali, O Sheikhs, reason! Spare us this trickery; it shall
cause harm between you and Allaah even before causing it between
you and His creation. Muhammad Al-Imaam: The Sheikhs, after having
inquired into the affair of the aforementioned dispute and Sheikh
Yahyas insistence on declaring `Abdur-Rahmaan Al-`Adeni to be a
Hizbee, decided to summon Sheikh `Abdur-Rahmaan to sit with him and
look into this Hizbiyyah that was being ascribed to him. The
meeting was convened at Daar Al-Hadeeth in Ma`bar. This is a
contradiction. He says that when they came to Dammaaj they
requested me to withdraw the statements I had issued declaring him
to be a Hizbee. How then, could they have looked into that which
was being ascribed to him after claiming to have given orders for
it to be withdrawn? All of this uproar, explain it. Everyone will

(Surah Al-Anbiyaa 21:111) Muhammad Al-Imaam: The meeting was
convened at Daar Al-Hadeeth in Ma`bar with the consent of Sheikh
Yahya. I do not have the authority to tell them to meet or not,
neither did I attend. Muhammad Al-Imaam: They met with Sheikh
`Abdur-Rahmaan and discussed the issue with him. The Sheikhs
consequently decided to issue a proclamation in order to bring the
discord to an end. They wrote and read it to the Sheikh. Brother,
settlement -according to the scholars- is to be done with mutual
consent of the parties concerned, not under duress. It is upon the
transgressor to carry the sin of his transgression, strive to make
amends, and restore unity. As for them, they are not entering
houses through their proper doors. People and their da`wah are
still being transgressed against. Accusations of fanaticism and
Hizbiyyah have been made and cannot be recanted by means of a mere
proclamation we deem incorrect.

that he apologize for the statement he released at that meeting
of theirs. This is proof that, at that time, I had not yet declared
him Hizbee; (I did not declare him Hizbee) until he showed obdurate
opposition to the truth, adopted that as his way even after the
truth had become clear to him, continued to muster people in to
(his sect), and continued to deepen the rift in the da`wah. This is
at variance to Sheikh Muhammad Al-Imaams claim that, on their first
visit to advise `Abdur-Rahmaan, they requested me to withdraw my
declarations of `Abdur-Rahmaan being a Hizbee. The relevant audio
was released and dated (14/ Rabee` Ath-Thaanee/ 1428) and entitled,
Requesting `Abdur-Rahmaan to apologize for that which was a cause
for fanaticism and boycotting. Muhammad Al-Imaam: The sheikhs said,
The statement has been released and Sheikh `Abdur-Rahmaan shall
come at some time in the future Inshaa Allaah. This proves, if they
indeed resolved and said this, that they, in all certainty, knew
him to be a transgressing wreaker of fitnah. Yet now, look at their
stance towards him. Allaahul-Musta`aan! No, by Allaah, I did not
say that he must come and apologize in Dammaaj. This is incorrect.
Muhammad Al-Imaam: Sheikh Yahya insisted on breaking the agreement
and refuting the statement, thereby causing the discord to
escalate.

Subhaanallaah! This shows that they do not want to be refuted,

Should people blindly follow you in your errors? And whoever
refutes them is to be treated harshly? This is following of

meet with us at Sheikh Rabees. As I was on my way back from Hajj I
received several telephone calls informing me that Muhammad ibn
`Abdil-Wahhaab had released an audio, before my arrival in Dammaaj,

continues to affirm this. I declare him to be Hizbee and you

was commended by Al-Waadi`ee. Muhammad Al-Imaam: And chose him to
be amongst the sheikhs referred to in times of fitnah. He did not
say this. Where has Muhammad Al-Imaam produced this from? This
speech contains additions. Muhammad Al-Imaam: Sheikh Rabee` then
addressed the Sheikhs that were present and said, Do you consider
`Abdur-Rahmaan to be a Hizbee? This is the correct account (of what
was said.) Muhammad Al-Imaam: The Sheikhs said, We do not consider
him Hizbee. Sheikh Rabee` stood up, with the approval of the
Sheikhs, and asked Sheikh Yahya to recant his declaration of
`Abdur-Rahmaans Hizbiyyah. He also requested us, upon returning to
Yemen, to summon `Abdur-Rahmaan and request him to issue a
proclamation dissociating himself, before Allaah, from all who
denigrate Dammaaj and stating his disapproval of denigration of
Sheikh Yahya. Thus, was the fitnah to come to an end and the da`wah
to proceed.

Why did he not give approval of denigration of Sheikh Yahya, but
thereafter caused fanatical siding from all directions in
denigration of Sheikh Yahya, his brothers, and this institute? Does
this not indicate that you should repent? You admit that this man
is wrong; he has perpetrated and committed yet, you escalate this
affair to the extent that you oppose this very da`wah for his
sake!? By Allaah, anyone endowed with reason will marvel at this.
Muhammad Al-Imaam: Thus, was the fitnah to come to an end and the
da`wah progress in fitting tranquility, cooperation, and avoidance
of any cause for fitnah. Sheikh Yahya accepted this proposal. The
Sheikhs returned to Yemen, keen to realize the agreement that was

with Sheikh Rabee` and what he had said. We all approved and Sheikh
`Abdur-Rahmaan agreed I did not approve of or accept it from its
inception. This claim that I accepted it is wrong. Had I accepted
it Muhammad ibn `Abdil-Wahhab would not have spoken about me while
I was still on my way and had not even reached my house. I remained
silent. Sheikh Rabee` requested me to return to him after
performing Hajj. I did not

return. Next thing I knew, Muhammad ibn `Abdil-Wahhaab was
speaking about me. Secondly: You know full well from the books of
jurisprudence that settlements are to be concluded with the mutual
consent of the parties concerned. As for you just going off,
gathering in Hudeidah, issuing this statement that I had no idea
of, and thats it; the whole affair is over!? This is wrong I tell
you. Stop trying to marginalize people and disdain their efforts.
Stop being haughty. This is haughtiness. Muhammad Al-Imaam: Sheikh
`Abdur-Rahmaan agreed to release the proclamation according to
Sheikh Rabee` and the other Sheikhs request. No sooner was it
released than Sheikh Yahya broke the agreement with the release of
two audios. There were no two audios. It was a small pamphlet
entitled At-Tanbeehaat Al-Mufeedah. It is still in circulation. I
reminded them in it. I said, If you want good for this man, advise
him about his errors and leave off these fabrications in this
proclamation. I criticized them. The refutation against the
Hudeidah meeting is available for whoever wants to read it. It has
even been written in book form. There were no two audios. No such
thing. This is nothing but hyperbole and fabrications. Muhammad
Al-Imaam: He spoke against the Sheikhs that had carried out Sheikh
Rabee`s request. He denigrated

them but they were patient and did not refute Sheikh Yahya. That
statement of mine was an academic statement. I refuted with
decorum. I now quote it, word for word, that you may see that
Muhammad Al-Imaams claim that I spoke against the Sheikhs and
denigrated them is false. As far as he is concerned, any refutation
is considered speaking against (him) and denigration; it is his
manhaj. I said in this refutation: Al-Hamdulillaah. I invoke salaat
and salaam upon the Messenger of Allaah. To proceed: This is a
reminder concerning the pamphlet released after the meeting held by
the Sheikhs may Allaah preserve them- in Hudeidah.
1. Your statement may Allaah preserve you- in this proclamation,
In view of the resumption of this affair, suggests that this affair
came to an end with the Ma`bar proclamation. This is incorrect. It
is regarding none other than the first affair that this
proclamation was released, as you well know. There is nothing new
about it.
2. You say, The Sheikhs strove to bring this resumption between
the two sides to an end. Your holding me to be one side and
`Abdur-Rahmaan another is needless

puffery as given to understand in my tape, Taanbeeh Al-Ahbaab
`alaa Ahamiyyah Ityaan Al-Buyoot min Al-Abwaab. This group that
perpetrated that which you are aware of, some of them have gone,
some have repented, others are in need of repenting of that which
they committed; there is no need to use puffery and hyperbole that
the biased can exploit.
3. You say, Sheikh `Abdur-Rahmaan dissociates himself from
anyone that speaks against me or this institute. There is no need
for this. What is required of him is that he repents from having
formed this syndicate and this fitnah. He is the head of this
fitnah. Allaah says,
MF E D C B AG L : If you follow the right guidance no hurt can
come to you
from those who are in error. (Surah Al-Maaidah 5:105)
It is unacceptable for him to wreak fitnah then lumber other
innocents with it.
The proclamation issued by `Abdur-Rahmaan was a farce. He, on
the one hand, dissociates himself from their actions, but on the
other, they do not cease to accompany him in journeys and at home!
What repentance or rectification did he or they make?

(None) except reiterating the advice he gave in the previous
proclamation.
We have come to know, and it has been reported in treatises,
that they conspired with him that he should remain quiet whilst
they assumed the burden! But he did not remain silent, rather, he
has endeavoured to form a syndicate and provoke internal unrest as
clarified in previous treatises and audios. Allaah destroyed the
people of Saalih, both he that hocked the camel and those that
approved his action. So `Abdur-Rahmaan is in need of repenting from
his sanctioning and colluding with them in these sinister designs
and utterances. This would be the case were he not guilty of
anything. How then, when he has perpetrated the aforementioned?
Let us contemplate the saying of Allaah, The Most High,
[ ` _ ] \ [Z :
they killed it, so their Lord destroyed them because of their
sin and made them equal in destruction (i.e. all grades
of people, rich and poor, strong and weak, etc.).

reported in the Saheehain (Bukhaaree & Muslim) on the
authority of Abdullah ibn Zamah. Allaah says (that which means),
they killed it, And He did not say, he killed it.
4. Your saying -may Allaah preserve you- And Abdur-Rahman
Al-Adeni is to free himself from this agitation against Dammaaj and
Sheikh Yahya. This distinction is a mistake. It was never said,
Dammaaj & Sheikh Muqbil, etc There is no difference between the
institute and its sheikh. Some of those who deepen the rift use
these terms; some of them have futile objectives, but there is no
harm on us -Inshaa Allaah- and all praise and thanks are due to
Allaah.
5. Your saying -may Allaah grant you success- He is to refrain
from publishing those treatises and cassettes. Etc.
This is erroneous from various angles:
Firstly: You, in your previous visit, agreed amongst yourselves
to take the treatises to Abdur-Rahmaan in order that he should
refute them, so what broke that agreement? (Nothing), except that
Abdur-Rahman has no evidence, is guilty as charged, and the fitnah
sprung

from under his feet etc. as you know from what occurred in the
last gathering here.
Secondly: Your speech contains misleading puffery, in your
saying, The treatises and cassettes by Abdur-Rahmaans defenders are
to be stopped (from further distribution).
Abdur-Rahmaan and those with him have not, to the best of my
knowledge, replied with a (single) audio or treatise. I have been
waiting for his reply since you requested that from him, as you all
agreed upon, to send the treatises to him in order that he should
refute them. How is it that you deem it permissible to utter such
biased hype in order to give an impression of equivalence of
evidence (from both sides?) Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abdil-Wahaab
(Al-Wasaabi) -may Allaah grant him success- rejected the saying of
(Saalih) Al-Bakri: He has people of his same ilk prepared to cause
fitnah in Britain, France and He (Muhammad ibn Abdil-Wahaab)
considered it to be blowing a minor issue out of proportion, so why
is this not disapproved of while it is like unto the said
(instance), indeed greater.

Finally: This is hijr2 against some of my efforts that I see to
be beneficial to the Muslims, (efforts) that clarify for them
-Inshaa Allaah- truth from falsehood. Hijr as it is found in the
books of fiqh, is to be performed against the foolish one who shows
misconduct. When Ibn Az-Zubair performed hijr of Aaishah, his aunt,
and he was emir, she vowed to leave speaking to him due to the
heaviness of hijr on ones self, and because she held that hijr was
not to be made on a rightly guided individual like herself.
Al-Haafith (Ibn Hajr) said, in Fat-hul-Baaree, under the
explanation for hadeeth 6073, after mentioning various views on
Aaishahs vow to cut Ibn Zubair off; cutting the ties of the womb is
prohibited and any prohibited vow is invalid. Al-Haafith said:
The correct saying is that of others; that Aaishah saw Ibn
Zubair to have perpetrated a great wrong by his saying, I will
surely implement hijr on her. For that (saying) belittles her
status and is an accusation of her having perpetrated impermissible
squandering, which would make it compulsory to prevent her from
spending of that which Allaah -The Most High- had provided her.

incompetent

In addition, she was a Mother of the Believers, his maternal
aunt, and none held status like his with her, as previously
mentioned at the beginning of the chapter treating of The Virtues
of Quraish. It would seem that she deemed his behaviour un-dutiful.
(The sayings and actions of) a close relative are held in greater
magnitude than (those of) a stranger. So she saw it appropriate to
requite him by leaving off speaking to him, as the Prophet
prohibited speaking to Kab Ibn Malik and his two companions as a
penalty for their having remained behind from the battle of Tabook
without excuse. Yet he did not prohibit speaking to the hypocrites
who missed it, due to the great status of those three (Companions)
and the contempt and insignificance in which the hypocrites were
held; in this regard should the action of Aaishah be construed.
Likewise when some of the Shia requested the president (of
Yemen) -may Allaah grant him success- to stop Sheikh Muqbil from
speaking about them he said:
We do not ban him or you. Reply to him if you will.
Such is what the Sheikh informed me, may Allaah bestow mercy
upon him. Also, when the Sheikh was sick in the Kingdom (of Saudi
Arabia), some of those who were hurt by my speech against
Abul-Hasan (Al-

Maribee) came to him. They related (my speech) to the Sheikh and
he said:
Leave him to speak as he sees fit, for he did not speak out of
desires.
I was informed of this by those present there. Sheikh Muqbil did
not bar me from speaking.
It should also be noted that hijr is to be implemented, when
needed, by the ruler. As for the people of knowledge, their role is
one of advice, cautioning against falsehood, and refutation after
advice against whoever opposes the truth.
6. Your saying -may Allaah grant you success- And it is upon the
scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah, from them Sheikh Yayha and Sheikh
Abdur-Rahmaan, to strive towards forgiveness This speech suggests
that the error occurred from both parties, but that which is
correct is that it occurred from Abdur-Rahmaans side, as you
yourselves affirmed in your original gathering with us (here in
Dammaaj). Had you said: We ask you to pardon Abdur-Rahmaan, as
Sheikh Rabee did in that meeting, it would have been more
acceptable than this biased judgment against all of our efforts in
the fitnah of Abdur-Rahmaan. If his Hizbiyyah has not become clear
to you then it is clear to us; by comparing

his actions to those of the Hizbees before him, his kindling the
fitnah, striving to stain my repute before some of the scholars, or
to greaten the differences between Ahlus-Sunnah. This is the way of
a scheming Hizbee. There is no difference between him and his
predecessors (in Hizbiyyah). Add to this, the vilification and
warning against seeking knowledge here (in Dammaaj), attempting to
draw some masjids and individuals to their side as well as inciting
the government against students who did not agree with their
fanaticism, and showing great partiality for anything published
against me (in this fitnah) and dissemination of it; also,
concealment of my statements and treatises, along with other
hideous Hizbee felonies which I have clarified in various treatises
and cassettes.
7. You mentioned -may Allaah grant you success- at the end of
your proclamation, that which implies that we have been busied by
this affair or other than it from seeking knowledge. While that may
not have been your intention, because you know, as we do, the
dedication of the students here to seeking beneficial knowledge and
all praise is due to Allaah- it might be understood by those who do
not understand as we do, that every time one our students falls
into a fitnah, we are busied by that from seeking knowledge. That
is at

variance with reality. It is befitting to mention here the
saying of as-Saffaareenee in his `Aqeedah,
Denial of any knowledge based on perception or comprehension
Is, by any standards, gross ignorance.
It would have been more appropriate for you to direct your
advice to the not inconsiderable multitude whom Shaytaan has misled
with these notions, from the time of the Sheikh -may Allaah show
him mercy- until Allaah only knows when; and He has wisdom in His
creation.
I tell you that refraining from advising them to repent and
rectify -as I indicated in the cassette, The Notification- is not
cooperation with them upon uprightness, rather, it aids them in
their ruin. And there is no power or might except with Allaah.
You may say, This effort and striving is for rectification. How
excellent is this (type of) effort and striving which Allaah and
His Messenger commended in many evidences!
But my brothers, -may Allaah preserve you and raise your status
and that of the rest of Ahlus-Sunnah- mutual consent is a condition
for reconciliation; it is not to be imposed by force. Allaah
says:

comments or in any way vilify them? Or, is Muhammad Al-Imaam
just perverting the truth according to the wishes of whoever it is
that is pushing and inciting him? Is he not inciting the other
sheikhs with this fanaticism for Al-`Adeni, this display of enmity
towards us, and this da`wah which Shaytaan has made fair seeming to
him?
Muhammad Al-Imaam: There is, at present, animosity between
Sheikh Muhammad ibn `Abdil-Wahhaab and Sheikh Yahya
The reason behind this discord has already been mentioned in
audios and treatises; its origin lies in his fanatical siding with
Al-`Adeni. The Sheikhs became involved and came here to attempt
reconciliation. They came after Al-Imaam had made several points.
They said, May Allaah excuse that which is past between you and
Sheikh Muhammad ibn `Abdil-Wahhaab. I said, May Allaah excuse that
which is past from Muhammad ibn `Abdil-Wahhaab. I made clear, after
Fajr, that it was not for Muhammad ibn `Abdil-Wahhaab to interfere
in the Al-`Adeni affair. It was but a matter of a few days before
Muhammad ibn `Abdil-Wahhaab released an audio containing untruths
about me without my having said anything about him and after having
forgiven him!

Muhammad Al-Imaam: There was animosity between Sheikh Muhammad
ibn `Abdil-Wahhaab, Sheikh Yahya, and `Ubayd Al-Jaabiree.
As has been previously mentioned, the reason for all of this
discord was Al-`Adeni. The reason was the fitnah of Al-`Adeni.
Muhammad ibn `Abdil-Wahhaab wanted to put me under duress to accept
that Al-`Adeni is not Hizbee. He wanted to appoint himself as
ultimate authority and arbitrator of the case in the same way that
Sheikh Rabee` and those with him now openly proclaim that I must be
forced. Thus I and this institute are subjected to continual
pressure and transgression. Yet I endure. They are now initiating a
secondary phase of overstatement and exaggeration. I repel (these
deeds) with that which is better so that Allaah and His slaves may
see that these people are transgressing, fanatical, aggressive,
fitnah-mongers. They are conducting a concerted campaign to
splinter off from Ahlus-Sunnah. At a time when Yemen is suffering
from widespread unrest they busy themselves with transgressing
against the callers to Allaah. We seek refuge with Allaah from
being forsaken (by Him).
The man wrought fitnah here. The truth should be accepted from
whoever brings it. The Prophet in the case of the Jew that said,

We are Muslims. We speak the truth. Why then, do you obstinately
oppose the truth?
Muhammad Al-Imaam: Sheikh `Ubayd Al-Jaabiree and Sheikh Yahya.
All the sheikhs in Yemen attempted to reconcile him with them
This was with Sheikh Muhammad. The Jaabiree affair was
later.
Muhammad Al-Imaam: attempted to reconcile him with them but were
unable to reach a settlement
As for Al-Jaabiree, they themselves with their own tongues admit
that he is a propagator of fitnah. Muhammad Al-Imaam called him a
propagator of fitnah. You yourself call him a propagator of fitnah
then say that you attempted to reconcile me with him?! Did you meet
with him for this reconciliation after knowing that he was a
propagator of fitnah? Did you attempt something I was not privy to?
I do not know.
Muhammad Al-Imaam: but were unable to reach a settlement because
the cause of it is Sheikh Yahyas disparagement of Sheikh
`Abdur-Rahmaan Al-`Adeni.
This is it in a nutshell. This is the heart of the matter. It
has come to my attention that during last Hajj someone said to
Sheikh Muhammad Al-Imaam, Why do you and Sheikh

Yahya not come to terms? He answered, This affair involves a
fundamental and subsidiary. If Sheikh Yahya comes to terms with
Sheikh `Abdur-Rahmaan then I will come to terms with him, but if
they do not come to terms neither shall I!
My brother, what is your stance regarding Allahs statement:
M L : No person earns any (sin) except against himself (only),
and no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another.
(Suratul-An`aam 6: 164)
Why have you taken on the role of playing advocates for the
fitnah of Al-`Adeni? How is it that you hang on to someone that you
consider yourselves above? What is this forsakenness you have
fallen into? By Allaah, it is most strange!
Why do you make fitnah in the da`wah, busy the people and upset
affairs for yourselves and others? (All this) for your sake, O
`Adeni?! Leave him on his own to give da`wah. If he acts properly

themselves- (then so); but if he does not, then it is to his own
detriment. What is this disaster that besets you?
Muhammad Al-Imaam: Sheikh `Ubayd Al-Jaabiree then issued a fatwa
disallowing anyone from studying in Dammaaj with Sheikh Yahya
Al-Hajooree.
That particular fatwa, by Allaah, had no effect, and I couldnt
care less about it. He took it upon himself to oppress and be
hostile towards us for no other reason than his fanaticism for
Al-`Adeni, as previously mentioned from the speech of Sheikh
Muhammad Al-Imaam. I refuted him and he was incapable of answering
except with abuse, instigation, and warning (against me), thereby
disgracing himself. I addressed him courteously as Sheikh, Father,
and so on. But when he showed his extremism and ghuloow I was stern
with him and exposed his errors. And now Inshaa Allaah- a whole
volume is to be published bringing his errors to light.
Muhammad Al-Imaam: so the Sheikhs, As-Sawmaly, Ath-Thamaaree,
Al-Bura`ee, and Al-Imaam decided to release a statement about the
truth of this discord in which Sheikh Yahya insists on that which
he is upon.
By Allaah, I entreat you to look! They now present me as being
the one that is insistent on that which he is upon! Perversion of
the truth! What is wrong with you? Where is

your justice? The man has perpetrated oppression and you
yourselves have criticized him and criticized his transgression
against Dammaaj. You have openly said so to many people and labeled
him a propagator of fitnah. But now you claim that it is I that
insists on discord?! When he was first invited by the sons of
Mar`ee (`Abdur-Rahmaan Al-`Adeni and his brother) not one of you
welcomed him in his institute but reluctantly. I welcomed and
honoured him and his party. This shows that we were all averse to
this action of his before differing with him. Yet the second time
he came roving around Yemen, criticizing me and this institute you
welcomed him!
Muhammad Al-Imaam: so they released a statement (the purport of
which was) that the Sunnah has not been supported by this discord
neither has innovation been suppressed. It is but a (power)
struggle.
Brother, this discord is between oppressed and oppressor, not
just a mere (power) struggle. And, if you consider it to be a mere
(power) struggle, why, pray, are you yourselves now participating
in it?!
Muhammad Al-Imaam: When this statement was released Sheikh Yahya
and those with him called for separation.

called for separation. I remain gentle. I still make du`a to

sitting with Sheikh Rabee` that they heard him say the same thing
there.
Muhammad Al-Imaam: "You initiated the separation.
It is as if these people are desperate to splinter off. (As) is

As the poet said:
She went east, and I to the west.

operate with me, however you persisted with this separation.
Sheikh Rabee` said to you (Muhammad al Imaam): "You are
philosophizing," and said to `Abdul-`Azeez al Bura`ee, "This is
Hizbiyyah. Leave this Hizbiyyah." Who then, is the one striving to
cause separation, with fanaticism under the pretext of the fitnah
of Al-`Adeni? It is almost as if the fitnah of (`Abdur-Rahmaan
Al-`Adeni) has been a relief from Allaah for you. Allaah`s aid is
sought.
Muhammad al Imaam: "The scholars advised to show patience and to
preserve the da`wah and the brotherhood, and (they) do not in any
way approve of separation."
If you do not want separation, I ask every person of discerning
and intelligence to render judgement upon this document (which I
have written,) therefore, (I ask you to) pass judgement (in regard
to what follows.)
Sheikh `Abdullah ibn `Uthmaan came on the visit dated in this
document, for which I thank him. He said, How can we achieve
reconciliation? I have been sent by the Sheikhs.
I said to him, O Sheikh `Abdullah- and whoever was present also
heard the contents of this document. I read to him a number of
points relating to the Sheikhs oppression, harassment, an
