She is scheduled for a skin graft this Wednesday as an outpatient procedure at Cox S. Don Light is recovering at home after knee replacement surgery. Glen & Sherry Austin’s grandson, Ryan Moore, left for Afghanistan this week. Please pray for his safety and peace for his wife & children. Nancy Elliott had outpatient surgery Wednesday. Carol Thomas will have total knee replacement surgery Wednesday at Mercy Ortho on E. Riverbluff Blvd. Larry Snyder will have more cardiac stents placed Thursday at St. Luke’s in KC. Welcome to Sunset! What a privilege it is to gather on this first day of the week to praise God and worship. We

are truly honored with your presence this morning.

What a privilege it was to pray for Noel Davis at second service last Sunday. Noel came forward and telling the congregation how much he loved them and his thankfulness for the support he received over these last few weeks after the loss of his wife, Betty. Noel, please know how much we love you and will continue to pray for you in the days and weeks to come. How won-derful it is to be able to bring brothers and sisters in Christ before God in prayer.

Then Tuesday evening, a small group gathered here at the building to wit-ness the baptism of Bethany Gott. We are so proud of her decision and re-joice with her and celebrate a new sister in Christ. Bethany, what encourage-ment to all of us.

Sunset is providing a meal this week for teachers & staff at Holland Ele-mentary School, Wednesday, May 2nd, for Teacher Appreciation Day. The meal will be from Qdoba, but we’re asking Sunset members to

provide desserts. If you are able to make a dessert, please have it at the building by Tuesday afternoon.

UNIGHT THANK-YOU – To Mark and Jaime Lanois for hosting our CREW on Thursday for chili and

bierocks! How many of you know what bierocks are? These ‘pockets of joy’ are meat, rice and cheese stuffed into a roll!! We had a wonderful night of food, fellowship and fun. Thank you!!!

It’s Official!! – Elizabeth Killough and Nathan Chainey will be our Youth Interns this summer. They are super excited and they can’t wait to arrive in May and get started with all the opportunities to work and serve with our youth. Please be praying for these two, as they begin making preparations to be with us!
