A. History - 2 yrs. (BHHS diploma: 3 yrs.)(World History/Geography, US History, Government/Economics)
B. English - 4 yrs.C. Math - 3 yrs. (4 recommended)
(Must include Algebra 1/2, Geometry, and Algebra II or
Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry)
D. Lab Science 2 yrs. (3 recommended)
(Biology and either Chemistry or Physics)
E. Foreign Language 2 yrs.(3 recommended)
(Must be two years of the same language. One year ofcredit may be earned in 8th grade.)

BHHS Additional Graduation Requirements
Other BHHS Graduation Requirements:
- Students must pass the California High
School Exit Examination (CAHSEE)
- Students must pass 20 credits of PE andthe Fitness Examination
- Health: 5 credits / one semester
- 230 credits total for BHHS Diploma

What are honors and AP classes?
Honors Classes that are taught atthe high school level but provide thegreatest challenge and preparation
for college. Not all receive weightedcredit.
AP (Advanced Placement) Collegelevel courses offered in a high schoolsetting. Students are expected totake AP exams in May.

The Medical Science Academy
In 10th Grade Introduction to MedicalScience is a UC approvedLaboratory Science (D) and fulfills
the high school Health Educationrequirement; students also take anadditional science course.
In 11th Grade students take a LabSkills course. Students participate inCedars-Sinai Medical Centers TeenVolunteer Program; students also
take an additional science course.
