4. Studies have shown that extensive use ofsocial networking
sites lowers attentionspans, resulting in lower grades. Addiction
to anything is bad; facebook isaddicting.
5. Iknow you miss your relatives and want tokeep in touch, but
facebook at work should beavoided. 72% of companies employees spend
1 1.5hours on social networking sites (includingfacebook) per day.
Not Productive
6. Not as good as being with friends and family. This deprives
you of REAL social interaction. May make distance grow between you
andyour friends/family unintentionally.
7. People spend countless hours on this sitelooking to add
people they sort of knowso they can be friends. Many use this as an
alternative to realsocial interaction. We need these real
connections.

Privacy Settings mean nothing when youraccount is hacked. Friends
of friends of friends...
9. FacebooksCEO has done some veryunethical things to make
facebook huge. All of those apps have your information. Very
difficult to delete a facebook account. The application itself

10. Facebooks CEO has been accused ofguessing other peoples
email passwordsin order to discredit them. This same CEO decided to
settle a courtcase for 65 million for allegedly stealingthe idea
for facebook.
11. Applications you addhave access to all of yourdata. The
companies behindthese applications areoften times not largeenough
to be trustworthywith your data.
12. Simplyde-activating anaccount means you canstill be tagged,
have yourwall wrote on, etc. Log in, and it is likenothing happened
Actually deleting anaccount takes severalclicks in the help
menus.
13. Unwanted invites to groups/events. Countless opportunities
to add applicationsfrom friends. Top News do you really care?
14. Mayhave been a Hollywood movie, but much of it was
true.Watch it, you will see many of the things talked about here in
action.
