WOODHULL RACEWAY LOOSES SEPT. 8, 2012 EVENT TO RAIN.

(Woodhull, NY) With early day heavy rain and a threat of even more substantial rain, high winds, damaging hail and a tornado watch for the region the Woodhull Raceway cancelled the September 8 event.

Friday September 14 was tentatively scheduled as a rain date for the Sept. 8 event, however the track management has decided to use Saturday, September 22 as the make-up for the Open Small Block Modified Lyle Sherwood Memorial event which will be run in conjunction with all the classes which are on the original schedule making it a Big 6 Show.

Gates for the Sept. 22 show open at 3:30 with the first green flag of the event waving at 5:30 pm.

The tracks test, tune and tinker session is still on for Saturday, September 15 as planned from 1:00 until 4:00 pm with pit admission only.

Griffith Energy will be back at Woodhull on September 22 to sponsor the event which will also be the last night that Season Passes will be honored at the track

NAPA 360 LATE MODEL RACE OF CHAMPIONS EVENT ADDED TO THESEPTEMBER 28, 2012 PROGRAM AT THE WOODHULL RACEWAY.

(Woodhull, NY) Representatives of the participating NAPA Auto Parts Stores across the Twin Tiers are pleased to announce the addition of the Napa Race of Champions Event at the Woodhull Raceway on Friday night, September 28 at the track.

Eligible drivers including John Waters, Dusty Waters, Glen Whritenour, Jeremy Wonderling, Mike Wonderling Sr., Jason Knowles and Billy VanPelt will draw for their respective starting spots in the sprint type event with the number of laps determined on the night of the show.

Traditionally the NAPA Race of Champions event is staged at the end of the race season pitting all the feature winners of the year in a no holds barred shootout with a sizable amount of cash on the line and a handsome trophy going to the winner.

The NAPA Auto Parts Stores represented as part of the marketing package include Addison, Bath, Corning, Hammondsport, Hornell and Lawrenceville.

Also on the card as part of the 3rd Annual Bullring Challenge for the Friday, September 28 segment of the two night affair will see a special 50 lap, $1,000 to win feature for the Crate Sportsman along with Open Street Stocks, Open Mini Stocks, Open Front Wheel Drives as well as the before mentioned 360 Late Models.The Mighty Modifieds will have an open practice session at the end of the program to tune up for their season finale the following night on Sept. 29.
