Page 1 Dear Parents, GOOD SCHOOLS National Quality Standards (NQS) in Schools Our school Continuous Improvement Team, led by Michelle Nash Assistant Principal, has worked consistently throughout the year to ensure that we met the NQS standards expected of all schools and Early Years learning centres. After completing our 2016 audit we were invited to have our school self-assessment verified by an external audit process. On Monday 21 November the Executive Team and staff welcomed the NQS verifiers from Central Office and a Principal from a school - judged as exceeding the NQS standards. The verifiers spent the day discussing and examining our strategic plans, documentation, processes and practice. Michelle and I worked closely with the verifiers throughout the day. Staff and children from Kindergarten to Year 2 spent time with the verifiers in their classrooms and play areas where they responded to questions as the verifiers observed our staff and students at work. We will receive a formal report in approximately two weeks. The School Board will be briefed on the day at our meeting on Tuesday 22 November at 6pm. The report will be shared with our School Board and you when I receive it. The reviewers were impressed with all that we have achieved since opening in 2015. Happy Anniversary! Of interest perhaps - the Executive Team celebrated the fact that we took possession of our school two years ago on 21 November! It looked very different then without lawns, trees, furniture or resources. Each time we ventured outside in the afternoons we received a free facial as the fine sand that covered the site sandblasted our faces. I trust that you are as pleased and proud of what we've achieved in these two years as we are of our achievements. Our library now has over 10 000 books, we have Lego robotics, iPads for across the school and a rich array of resources for all learning areas. In partnership with you, we have built a school that values learning and relationships as we build a community of learners. I look forward to sharing our official school opening anniversary next February. 2017 PARENT FEES - OSH Club at Golden Bay Primary School Quality Staff and Services OSHClub has been independently assessed by the Education and Care Regulatory Authority and has been rated against the National Quality Framework as Exceeding what is required, further extending their position as Australia’s Highest Quality Provider. OSHClub takes great pride in our ability to respond to external influences on our schools, parents, children and educators. In support of WA families, in 2017 OSHClub will be absorbing all of the year’s increased operational costs, meaning that fees to families will not increase. STUDENTS ON SCHOOL SITE Please be reminded that children are requested to arrive at school after 8:20 am and leave immediately at the end of each school day that the school is open. Staff commence yard duty supervision after 8:20 am. CLASS PLACEMENT REQUESTS I am currently working on class lists. If you have a request that you would like me to consider can you please place it in writing on or before 2 December. Requests will be given serious consideration in the context of the student needs and class structures. Enrolments continue daily with a further forty enrolments this term so far. I will post proposed class lists on the last day of term. Please note that class configurations may change after this date dependent on enrolments. It is a requirement by the Education Department to receive all immunisation records from the Australian
Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) statement. This can be obtained by calling 1800653809. If your child’s immunisations are not recorded on ACIR it may impact your family payments.

Program Update
Dear Parents and Children.
I would like to start off by thanking the parents for their continuous donations of recyclables and toys. The children are
very grateful and have had lots of fun exploring and playing with the new addition so generously donated.
Our lost property box is getting full again so if you think you are missing items of clothing please feel free to pop into the
wet area of block 4 and have a look through.
Summer is on its way so please remember hats! Sunscreen is provided and applied every day but hats are also needed,
it does not need to be a school hat, any hat/cap is fine.
Just a reminder or some information for new attendees, if you have to make a last minute booking, it is best to call or
message the centre phone on 0408 757 425. Between school hours, sometimes, the phone will not be in operation.
A reminder that enrolling you child or children in OSHCLUB is easy and free. All you need to do is complete an enrolment
form on line at www.OSHCLUB.com.au where you will have the option of booking as either permanent or casual user. I
believe this to be beneficial for all families as once your child is enrolled you then have the comfort of knowing the pro-
gram is available to you anytime should any unforeseen circumstance arise. It also gives you the assurance that your
child or children will be cared for in safe, warm and friendly environment.
Please drop in and say hello in the wet area of Teaching Block 4.
Opening hours are 6.45am to 9.00am and 2.15pm to 6pm.
RECYCLABLES WANTED
These items can include egg cartons, boxes, bottles, jars, newspaper etc.
USED TOYS, PUZZLES & GAMES WANTED
Anything from board games, large or small puzzles to construction toys and blocks. Even old dress-up or items to add to
our home corner would be great!
Just pop into Block 4 to drop the off and say hello J
