All students and parents need to be aware of the Math Classroom Expectations:

1. Each student must have a spiral notebook to be used only for math homework or practice work.

2. Students must bring their spiral notebook, math book, and loose- leaf paper to class EVERYDAY.

3. All math work must be done in pencil and only pencil.

4. Smiles are required in Mr. Freidag’s classroom.

Any questions about math please call me at 630-734-6649. Mr. Freidag Reading – Students continue to concentrate on skills related to prediction, differentiating genres, and context clues. Our first 3 week assessment is scheduled for September 16th. 3-week assessments are 40% of the grade in reading class. Everyone is expected to come to class prepared with their Journey Book, a novel to read, spiral notebook, and writing utensils. Science – The students have learned their science safety lab rules and are excited about completing science experiments. You should have signed a safety contract by now allowing your child to participate. If not, I will be contacting you soon. I look forward to a wonderful year with your student. PE - In PE, the students finished their Presidential Fitness testing. The next unit is flag football. Please remind your son/daughter to wear their uniforms and gym shoes.
