The Tragedy That Struck America

• On September 11, 2001 a group of terrorist called al-Qaeda (Al Kay-Da) purposely crashed four hijacked planes.

• Two planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City.

• One plane crashed into the Pentagon in Washington,DC.

• The last plane crashed into Somerset Country, Pennsylvania.

After The Planes Hit

• At 10:05 am the South tower collapsed. Then at 10:28 the North tower collapsed.

• This caused chaos in the streets of New York City. There was lots of smoke and debris. Some people just started to run while a few just stood there and filmed.

al-Qaeda

• The terrorist group was called al-Qaeda.There leader was Osama Ben Ladin.Their was a total of 19 terrorists. They were spread out between the four planes.

Tragedy • The total amount of

people killed through the attacks including hijackers were 2,996.

• Thousands of people were missing.

• There were missing people posters everywhere.

My Visit To The Memorial

• Last year, I visited the 9-11-001 memorial on my trip to New York.

• It was a breathtaking experience .

• It was very sad to see all the names of the people who had died.
