Colony Guidebook Project In pairs, you will create a colorful and dynamic guidebook that highlights life in one of the English Colonies in North America. Your task is to choose one colony and design a guidebook that informs travelers as they visit and explore it. What should your readers see and know about when they visit this colony? Follow the guidelines below and reference your handout notes and pp. 47-59 and pp. 65-77 of History Alive! First, fold two pieces of paper together. You will work on one piece of paper while your partner works on the other. Be sure to plan and organize the design of your guidebook before focusing on its content. Each page must feature one image or illustration. Do not staple— assemble the folded pieces of paper together. Content Front cover: title of guidebook, group names, and an image or illustration. Page 1: Map: include a map of all the English colonies and their major cities/towns. Highlight your colony. Page 2: Introduction: write an introduction that explains the purpose and organization of your guidebook. Be sure to mention all 13 American Colonies (categorized by New England, Middle, and Southern), and include a brief introduction about the colony you’ve chosen.
