Purpose of the studyThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the risks to the fetus from rheumatic diseases in pregnancy, as well as evaluate the safety of medications used for treating these conditions during pregnancy. We are currently studying:

Who conducts the research studies?This research project is conducted by the non-profit Organization of Teratology Information Specialists (OTIS) and is coordinated at the University of California, San Diego CA.

What will your patient be asked to do?•After self-enrolling, she will be interviewed by

telephone at least one time.

•She may be asked to have a specialized pediatric exam of her baby and/or have her child participate in neurobehavioral screening and testing, all at no cost to her. The results of the exam and testing will be provided to her.

• Finally, she will be asked to release medical records related to her pregnancy and the health of her child.
