Monthly Motivation: Protect Yourself SpirituallySatan uses these two strategies: (1) “He willdefy the Most High.” Satan will always at-tack God’s plan, God’s principles and God’speople, so be on guard! (2) “He will oppressthe people of the Most High.” Weariness isa weapon Satan will use against you. Whenyou’re worn out, you’re vulnerable. At thatpoint temptation can lead to compromise, compromise to indulgence, and indulgenceto defeat. “Make no provision for theflesh” (Romans 13:14 NKJV). Don’t giveSatan an inch or he will take a mile. Yourmind is where the real attack takes place. The Bible warns you to be careful, “Lestyou become weary and faint in yourmind” (See Heb 12:3). Satan will wear youdown in order to wipe you out, so you musttake time to replenish your strength inGod’s presence. It’s easy to get caught up in

the work. Jesus said: “Are youtired? Worn out? Burned out onreligion? Come to me. Get awaywith me and you’ll recover yourlife. I’ll show you how to take areal rest. Walk with me andwork with me—watch how I doit…I won’t lay anything heavyor ill-fitting on you. Keep com-pany with me and you’ll learnto live” (Mt 11:28-30 TM).When you commit yourself todoing God’s will, God’s way, inGod’s strength, you don’t wearout. You’re fulfilled, you stay inbalance, and you overcome thestress and anxiety of this world. And that’s how God wants youto live.
