8 days hiking tour including special hikes in Wadi Rum

Day 1: Amman Arrival at Amman Queen Alia International airport, our airport representative will be waiting for you with a name sign; he will help with your visa and will walk with you through the customs. Your driver will wait for you in the arrival hall, also holding a name sign and he will transfer you to the 3* Larsa Hotel in Amman for overnight.

Day 2: Amman—Petra After breakfast drive directly to Petra for a full day to explore one of the seven world wonders. It is easy to buy your own entry fee tickets. A one day ticket for Petra cost 50 JOD per person paid in Jordanian Dinars, cash. Visit the Siq, the Treasury, Street of Facades, Theatre and the Colonnaded Street. After you still have time to visit the Monastery and/or the High Place of Sacrifice! It is a lot of climbing but definitely worth the views. Lunch suggestion: the Basin Restaurant inside of Petra. Overnight at the 3* Petra Palace Hotel, based on double/twin rooms. After your visit of Petra, there are a few other options. Turkish bath: a steam bath, a scrub and soap massage at the local Hammam. Petra Kitchen participate cooking with a local chef from19.00 until 21.00 or a little later, the

price includes a 3 course meal/menu to prepare with other guests and to dine together. Water, tea, coffee and soft drinks are included. (Alcohol is available for a surcharge).

Visit the Petra Life Exhibition for Traditional Heritage (5 JD entrée fee) located close to Petra Kitchen)

Petra by Night (each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evening). Visit Petra lighted by candles, through the Siq until the Treasury. With a traditional Bedouin sitting at the Treasury, music and story telling.

Dinner options: in the tourist street we recommend the Sun City restaurant, great atmosphere and price for local and international food with a menu in English. Red Cave restaurant, also good for local and international food. Al Qantarah restaurant with mezze salads and local main courses. Or you could have dinner at the buffet restaurant at your hotel.

Day 4: Petra—Wadi Rum After breakfast drive to Wadi Rum, famous from the red sand and rock formations. You will enjoy a full day hiking in Wadi Rum protected area. Through the beautiful different colors of sand. Today you will hike through Um Salab and Um Ashreen to the Infasieh inscriptions. Close to here your will also camp. Arrive to your private campsite for your last night of private camping. All meals such as breakfast, lunch and dinner are included and with every meal a nice Bedouin cup of tea. Water, soft drinks and alcohol etc are available for an extra charge. Camping equipment, jeep and the chef are also included for the hiking days. Your chef will prepare everyday a fresh meal for you. Total of 14 kms hiking – around 6 hours. Overnight camping in Wadi Rum at the Infasieh inscriptions, including camping equipment, din-ner, breakfast, jeep, chef etc. Bring your own sleeping bag – it's not included!

Day 4: Wadi Rum Another full day of hiking in Wadi Rum. Today you will visit the Sand Dunes, Lawrence's House and the Burdah Bridge. All meals are included again for today. Private camping at Burdah Bridge. Total of 19 km – around 7 hours. Overnight camping in Wadi Rum at the Burdah Bridge, including camping equipment, dinner, breakfast, jeep, chef etc. Bring your own sleeping bag – it's not included!

Day 5: Wadi Rum Rise and shine! Today you will hike via Wadi Meharak to Barragh Canyon. Enjoy the silence of the desert and the beautiful scenery. Private camping at Barragh Canyon. Total of 13 – 15 km – around 5.5 hours. Overnight camping in Wadi Rum at Barragh Canyon, including camping equipment, dinner, break-fast, jeep, chef etc. Bring your own sleeping bag – it's not included!

Day 6: Wadi Rum Hike via Siq Abu Awad to Disi Area where you will stop for lunch. Total of 10 km – around 4 hours. After lunch there is the option to continue hiking to your campsite for another 2 hours or to go by camel to the campsite. Overnight camping at Wadi Isaifaan. This will be your last night of camping so make sure to enjoy a nice Bedouin cup of tea at the campfire and watch the beautiful sky lighted by millions of stars. Overnight camping in Wadi Rum at Wadi Isaifaan, including camping equipment, dinner, break-fast, jeep, chef etc. Bring your own sleeping bag – it's not included!

Day 7: Wadi Rum—Dead Sea After breakfast drive to the Dead Sea, lowest point on the earth's surface, for a free afternoon and overnight. Float in the salty waters, try out the famous healing mud and maybe even try a pampering spa treatment! On your way to the Dead Sea there is the option to hike the Siq Trail at Wadi Mujib. A fun water hike for around 2-3 hours (self guided). Overnight at the 4* Holiday Inn Dead Sea Resort, based on double/twin rooms. Day 8: Dead Sea—Queen Alia International Airport Amman Transfer to the Amman Queen Alia International Airport for depar-ture, 3 hours in advance of your departure time. (2 hours for check in and around 1 hour driving from the Dead Sea to the airport).
