John saw the mighty Lord Jesus Christ, the one who will destroy all wickedness. He will come with his saints who he has taken from among the nations of the world and those he has raised from the dead.

When they lived as mortals, God made an everlasting covenant with them through his Son, the covenant on God’s part was unchangeable and totally reliable. On their part it was dependent on them being obedient to his will to the best of their ability. God, in his mercy has now rewarded them with glorious everlasting life to reign with His Son over the earth.

Their role now is to establish the nation of Israel as the primary nation and to bring the rest of the nations into subjection to the laws of God. This will eventually result in a world at peace because it is in harmony with the laws of the creator.
