7 th INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON KARTVELIAN STUDIES The 7th International Symposium on Kartvelian Studies will be held at Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University on October 17 th to 22 nd , 2016. The year 2016 is significant for Kartvelian Studies and culture as it is the year of the anniversaries of Shota Rustaveli and the founder of Tbilisi State University, Ivane Javakhishvili. The programme of the 7th International Symposium in Kartvelian Studies will be linked to these anniversaries and its main working theme will be ''Georgia in a context of European Civilisation''. The International Symposium welcomes papers on any topic relating to the Kartvelian Studies. Key Dates: The deadline for paper submission is 1 st May, 2016. The application should include: (1) Title of the paper; (2) Brief resume, no more than a page (400 words), brief information about the presenter (CV). After the Symposium Programming Committee assess submissions, the acceptance letter will be sent to the presenters no later than June 2016. Registration fee: 50 US dollars (before 1 st August). Late registration fee (from 2 nd August 2016) will be 80 US dollars. Working languages of the symposium: Georgian, English, Russian, German and French. Registered participants should send an extended resume (1-3 pages), either in Georgian or in English. The abstracts will be published in Symposium proceedings. Symposium Social Programme will include a reception with the Rector of TSU, a farewell dinner and coffee breaks before sessions as well as sightseeing events. In case of need, foreign participants will be provided with accommodation.
