Optical fibres serve as a medium for carrying information from one point to another in form of light.

Optical fiber cables are non-electrical in nature. A basic fiber optic system consists of an encoder,

transmitter, optical fiber cable, optical regenerators and optical receiver that converts the light signals

back into electrical signals. It uses a photocell or photodiode for detection of light. OFCs work on the

principle of total internal reflection of light. The use of optical fiber cables is widespread. They are

used in communication, in computer networks for fats internet connection, in medicine and in

telecommunication industry both transcontinentally and transoceanically. Growth of fiber optics over

the last five years has been explosive. Analysts expect that this industry will continue to grow at a

    TRANSFORMER EFFICIENCY

    POWER MAKER

    INDUSTRY GUIDE FACULTY GUIDE

Mr. Bimal Chandra Das Mr. Deepak Balodi

    Managing Director Lecturer

    PROJECT SUMMARY

The transformer is based on two principles: first, that an electric current can produce a

magnetic field (electromagnetism), and, second that a changing magnetic field within a coil of

wire induces a voltage across the ends of the coil (electromagnetic induction). During

manufacturing of transformers leakage flux , effect of frequency and energy losses are taken

into consideration. due to scarcity of electricity we need an efficient transformer. for an

efficient transformer leakage flux and energy loss must be minimum. hence in this project we

will try to study how to make the most efficient transformer

PROJECT SUMMARYThe identification of Friend and Foe (IFF) is basically a radar beacon system employed for the

purposes of general identification of military targets. The beacon system when used for the control of

civil air traffic is called as secondary surveillance radar (SSR). Primary radar locates an object by

transmitting a signal and detecting the reflected echo. Secondary radar system consists of an

interrogator and a transponder. The interrogator transmitter in the ground station interrogates

transponder equipped aircraft, providing a two way data link on separate transmitting and receiving

frequencies. The transponder, on board the aircraft, on receipt of a chain of pulses from the ground

interrogator, automatically transmits a reply, coded for the purposes of identification.

    PROJECT SUMMARY

Radar is a system that uses radio waves to detect, determine the distance or speed, objects such

as aircraft, ships, and map them. Speed detection is measured by the amount of Doppler Effect

frequency shift of the reflected signal. The basic idea behind radar : a signal is transmitted, it

bounces off an object and some type of receiver later receives it.This is where the name

RADAR comes from (Radio Detection And Ranging). The Radar Transmitter produces the

short duration high- power R-F pulses of energy that are radiated into space by the antenna.A typical Transmitter System uses a Magnetron oscillator which produces X-band pulses with

duration of about 0.35us and R.F. pulse are applied to the antenna.

    Analyst(TAM)- AdSales

    PROJECT SUMMARY

Line follower is a machine that can follow a path. The path can be visible like a black line on a

white surface (or vice-versa) or it can be invisible like a magnetic field. Sensing a line and

maneuvering the robot to stay on course, while constantly correcting wrong moves using

feedback mechanism forms a simple yet effective closed loop system. Therobot uses IR sensors

tosense the line, an array of 8 IR LEDs (Tx) and sensors (Rx), facing the ground has been used

in this setup. The output of the sensors is an analog signal which depends on the amount of

light reflected back, this analog signal is given to the comparator to produce 0s and 1s which

are then fed to the uC.
