Last week the Club experienced a full-on GSE program with the delightful Danish Team. After catching up

sleep and recharging the batteries we were ready to reflect and relive the warmth of fellowship and the fun of

GSE event.

Kevin Roberts, with fifth column access to slides from across the Danes’ month in District 9520, screened a

slide show which added the Magill Sunrise component into the total event. From this we could understand

that the Danes needed to go home to recover from the range and quantity gastronomic and fermented

delights/experiences and the intense hospitality of six Rotary Clubs.

The distance the Team travelled and the exposure to very arid and sparsely populated landscapes were eye

openers as was the variety of water experiences offered by Clubs from a sailing ship dinner cruise off the coast

at Brighton, the Spirit of the Coorong adventure, and many trips on the Murray River to finally Kayaking on the

Port River.

Thanks Kevin for your special overview of a rich GSE experience

Mina Ward reported on the under 40 event at the Tap Inn. Another successful event but we are not likely to

see the four young Danes representing their country on the Australian golf courses in the near future.

Lindsay’s Footing Tipping

Round 8 was a 'tough week at the office' for most tippers. Top marks and the prize went to Matt

Davis whose genetically-gifted skills chose 6 out of 9 winners and the closest margin.

One other tipper got a 6 (Steve T) but 8 tippers lost a lot of ground when their hard efforts returned

a paltry 3 out of 9 winners.

The 'pressure' is clearly proving too much for some people so we will make it simple for Round 9.

The prize will go to the person who picks the Friday night winner and closest margin.

GOOD LUCK

Editor’s Note: Why was Mark T the only one fined last Tuesday for just picking just 3 winners?
