as been nearly one year since I was given the honor to serve you as the Alderman of the 6th Ward. This has been an exciting year in the 6th W

City of Chicago, but it has also had its fair share of challenges. Both the Mayor and the city council has set its mind to getting Chicagos fiscer. My responsibility is to use my vote to support budget cuts and revenue enhancements that are necessary for us to return our great city tovency. Alderman Sawyer Taking the Lead on Metal Thefts

cently there has been a rash of metal thefts in the 6th Ward. From the removal of decorative mailbox covers, copper kick-plates, down spoutes; much metal has been under assault in our neighborhood. As the reports of the thefts to his office spiked, Alderman Sawyer called for tigulations on the metal yards that were accepting the materials. His call brought similar admissions from this colleagues that this was indeedblem and that more work needed to be done.

6th Ward one of the Most Active Wards in the 2012 Clean an

Green

anks to our numerous block clubs, community organizations, volunteers and neighbors the 6th Ward was among the top active wards in the 2d Green. Westchesterfield Community Association had over 60 volunteers come out to clean alleys and lots. Englewood Unity Day with Imaglewood If, Each1 Teach1 Literacy and the Resident Association of Greater Englewood among others had over 100 volunteers to clean up nuant lots. Thats not counting the block clubs and other groups that took responsibility for their areas and cleaned up. Ward Superintendentson wants to say Good Job!

6th Ward City Sticker Sale Date is Set, with New Features

Tuesday, June 19nd, 2012, the Office of Alderman Roderick T. Sawyer will host their 2nd annual 6th Ward Residential Parking Sticker sales dition to purchasing the stickersonline atwww.chicityclerk.com, Residents can obtain their residential stickers by going to the 6th Ward Seney orders and checks are the preferred method of payment.

e cost of a passenger City Vehicle Sticker is $85 and larger passenger City Vehicle Stickers are $135. Senior citizens, age 65 and older, are elieive one sticker for $30. Annual Residential Zone Parking is $25 and Daily Residential Parking Permits are $8 for 15 permits. To purchase ahicle Sticker, residents must bring their driver's license or renewal form and know their vehicle license plate number. In addition, this year'shicle Stickers contain the vehicle make and model as another security feature.

u can also take advantage of the new City of Chicago Will-Call Program that allows you to make payments in advance in order to avoid waitink up day. Will-Call envelopes will be available at the 6th Ward Service Office office. Constituents need to include the following in each will-caewal form (if applicable), check or money order made out to the City Clerk, and a copy of their driver's license.
