9.Ventilation-Slots and openings in the cabinet and the backor bottom are provided for ventilation and to ensure reliableoperation of the unit and to protect it from overheating, andthese openings must not be blocked o1"covered. The open-ings should never be blocked by placing the unit on a bed,sofa, rug, or other sindlar sud'ace. This unit should never beplaced near or over a radiator or heat register. This unitshould not be placed in a built-in installation sucb as abookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided orthe manulacturer's instructionshave been adbered to.

10.Power Sources-This unit should be operated only from thetype of power source indicated on tbe marking label. If youare not sure of tile type of power supply to your borne, con-sult your appliance dealer or local power company. For theunits intended to operate flora batte W power, or othersomves, refer to the operating instructions.

13.Outdoor Antenna grounding-If an outside antenna orcable system is connected to the unit, be sure the antennaor cable system is grounded so as to provide some protec-tion against voltage surges and built-up static chai_.es.Article 81(t of the National Electrical ('ode, ANSI/NFPANo. 70, provides information with respect to propergrounding of the mast and supporting structure, groundingof the lead-in wire to an antenna discbarge unit, size ofgrounding conductors, location of antenna-dischai_ze unit,connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements florthe grounding electrode. 14.Lightning-For added protection for this unit receiver dur-ing a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended andunused for long periods of trine, unplug it from tile walloutlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system. This willprevent damage to the unit due to lightning and poweMiuesurges.

a place for its installation:

• Shield it from direct sunlight and keep it awayfrom sources of intense heat.
