The following procedure is suggested for installing the kit. WARNING Before attempting any adjustments, maintenance, repairs, service, stop engine and blade and remove key from ignition switch. Remove spark plug wire(s) and secure wire(s) away from spark plug(s). Engine, muffler and surrounding areas are extremely hot. Allow components to cool down before installing kit. To prevent fire, keep muffler area clear of debris. Wear heavy leather gloves when handling or working around cutting blades. Blades are extremely sharp and can cause severe injury. 1. STEP 1: Install draw bar hitch to draw bar using 2 each 3/8-16 x 2-1/4” bolts, springs, 3/8 washers and 3/8-16 lock nuts. See Figure 1. STEP 1: Install draw bar hitch to draw bar using 2each 3/8-16 x 2-1/4” bolts, springs, 3/8 washers and3/8-16 lock nuts. See Figure 1. Tighten nuts untilsprings are compressed to a height of 1-1/8”. SeeFigure 2.

STEP 2: Install draw bar to the rear of machine.Secure draw bar using 2 each 5/16-18 x 5/8” flangelock bolts and 5/16-18 flange lock nuts. See Figure 3.

STEP 3: Attach braces to drawbar using (2) each 3/8-18x1” flange lock bolts and 3/8-18 top locknuts. SeeFigures 3 & 4 for correct mounting holes andhardware orientation.

STEP 4: Remove the upper carriage boltthat secure the handle bar to the machinexisting carriage bolts and install new nuts from the kit to secure brace to maFigure 5. Tighten all nuts and bolts that draw bar to machine, the braces to draw bbraces to the handle area.

STEP 5: Install the top hitch (the longer bottom hitch (the shorter piece) to the seweldment. Use 1 each 1/2-13 x 3” cap screwwasher and 2 each 1/2-13 hex nuts. See Figure 7.IMPORTANT: Top Hitch and Bottom Hitchsnug but still able to pivot. Jam both nusecurely to prevent loosening.

STEP 11: Install the seat bracket/seat assembly ontoseat extension. Position the seat bracket with thetabs with the three holes to the rear of sulky. Secureseat to bracket with two bolts and tighten securely.See Figure 14.
