Head start in developmentQuality at Wanzl is a precisely defined process whichalready starts with initial rendering in the design depart-ment. State of the art 3D-CAD systems and FEM simula-tion software exactly define the manufacturing para-meters for components and assemblies down to the lastthousandth of a millimetre.

Guaranteed safetyIn our own test laboratories each Wanzl product is subjec-ted to a series of tough tests before it is supplied to ourcustomers. Test criteria include bearing capacity, durabili-ty, robustness and other factors. The results are productswith the German GS seal of approval, which more thansatisfy legal regulations (in compliance with EN 1929,DIN 32601). In collaboration with the product service ofthe TÜV German technical inspectorate, we have deve-loped our own quality standards which by far exceed thestandard.

Best material qualityFor the annually processed 30,000 tonnes of steel wireand more than 15,000 tonnes of tubing, only the best ofthe best quality manufacturers are considered, as onlytheir materials satisfy our demands with regard to surfacequality, stability, welding properties and bending charac-teristics.

High degree of automationCNC technology and robotics, semi-automatic and fully-automatic manufacturing islands and production linescharacterise the high-precision processes in all works.Much of our production equipment has evolved from theunique professional knowledge in wire and tube proces-sing. This guarantees a constant and high quality stan-dard.

Surface treatmentIron and steel components require special attention. AtWanzl, one of the 10 largest galvanising works in Germa-ny, you are in hands of experts. Each individual part ishigh-gloss galvanised and additionally provided with atransparent or coloured plastic powder coating - fullyautomatically and with process control. This is also per-formed so thoroughly that Wanzl products were alreadyawarded the “Galvanotechnik” seal of approval in 1982.

Quality wheelsWanzl sets quality standards - especially with regard totransport comfort. Maintenance-free wheels with doubleball bearings and non-wearing tread with steering forksmounted on ball bearings make our models smooth-run-ning, quiet and easy to steer; features which your custo-mers appreciate.

Quality managementProcess safety is guaranteed for all operational procedu-res. From material procurement through to final assemblyand on-site installation each step is defined, monitoredand recorded in accordance with the QMS criteria(DIN EN ISO 9001:2000). For one hundred percent quality.

“drive” electric drive feature

Bulk shopping, crates, unwieldy materials in DIY markets -this can make transport hard work for customers, especiallywith loads of 200 kg or more. A fifth wheel was never moreuseful than in such cases. Wanzl models with the “drive”electric drive feature, controlled by a rechargeable battery,make child's play of all transport jobs, and even loads of upto 500 kg can be pushed with “finger-tip control”(PCT/DE 99/01741).

Function

Finger-tip activation of the extra-convenient feature - foursensors are integrated into the handle unit. These measurethe force required for pushing and pulling and forward thisinformation to the electronic components. Slight pressure onthe sensor handle in a forwards or backwards direction issufficient for automatic drive activation. When the customerreleases the sensor handle, the drive is automaticallydeactivated and the transporter stops immediately.The electric motor is integrated into the hub of the fifthwheel. It not only ensures transport convenience, but alsotrue tracking and steering accuracy.
