5. How did you attract/address your audience?

Page 2: 5

I attracted my target audience through the use of colour, images and text.

I have mainly used black white and red which are popular in my chosen genre of music.

I have used an image of a young male with his fist in the air and looking angry. I have done this because a lot of my genre of music is based on anger.

My masthead looks eroded and distorted because the music in my genre is very distorted

I have made my text big and put drop shadows and outer glows to make them stand out from the page.

I have made my magazine £2.50 so my audience will be more willing to buy it if it is cheaper.

I have kept the same colour scheme as on the front cover: black white and red.

I have used a picture of the artist who is on the double page thread. I have done this to make the reader want to read on to that article.

I have used the same font for the contents title as the masthead; this is to keep the theme of distortion throughout the magazine.

I have included a competition to win a pair of headphones.

I have the bands name in big, bold letters across the top to attract my reader, it shows strait away what the article is about.

I have also included a big image of the main artist to show who I am interviewing.

I have kept the same black, white and red colour scheme.

I have included the date on this page.
