308 Students Vote;Where Were You?

How many of you Fresno Junior College students went tothe polls to vote on May 5 and 6? the answer to that questionis exactly 308.

Out of 636 students eligible to vote 328 students did noteven stop at the polls. îhis includes m ç3 card holders, ofwhich 23 votæd.

IÌrose who voted should be congatulated because this wasthe biggest b¿lloting in the history of the school. Yet it wasnot big enough.

Those who did not t¡ther to Ea¡k the ballot should t¿keinto consideration a little quotation by J. F. Cooper. Ee saidth¿t a man who can right himself by a vote will seldom rçsort of a musket. If this quote seeurs a little out of date, it canbe made modern by replacing the word musket with tle Hy-drogen Bomb.

Voting seems to be such a small matter to many, br¡t it isyour privilege. Let's hope you use it the right way', and notlet it go towaste.
