Who Am I

I have sharp teeth andclaws.I have pointy ear.I make a howlingsound.I have four,bigpaws.I have 4 muscularlegs.I am grizzledgray,black,and all-white. I’ m 26 to 32 in.at the shoulder. I weighfrom 55 to115 poundsand females are slightlysmaller.

The Early Years

Wolves breed inJanuary and February.Only one female in apack has young eachyear. She usually hasfour to seven pups.They stay with theirmother for two winter.

Habitat Sweet Habitat

Wolves live inforests, tundra,andplain. It sleeps inthe

forest.

What’s on the Menu

It eatselk,deer,buffalo,

rabbit,and beaversand moose.

Making Tracks

You would find thetrack in the snow.The track is about2in. It is big withfour toes and nails.

Simply Irresistible

It can run as fast as40 to 45 miles perhour. It can run fardistances.

Where in the World

They are found inNew EnglandRange,Greatlakes,southeasternCanada,and HudsonBay.
