Record Store Day

• This article is about the Record Store Day which took place on the 16th April. It’s significant towards the online revolution because it shows that people still have a love for Vinyl Records. Domino records also sell Vinyl records and this ‘Record Store Day’ shows that this still has an appeal to people.

British music fans buy half-a-billion music downloads

• British music fans have pushed the digital revolution to new heights, with the number of downloads bought in the UK passing the half-a-billion mark for the very first time - the Official Charts Company can confirm today.

• The total equates to**: • eight tracks for each member of the UK population • two albums for every UK household • 42,000 60gb MP3 players

• Downloads year-by-year:

BPI Statement on BBC 6 Music

• BBC 6 Music has a niche audience which also appeals to Domino Records’ audience. This creates another revenue stream for Domino but it was at risk of being shut down.
