This music video fits well into the pop genre with the use of the theme of sweets and candy. The use of the bright candy related colours make the video attractive to look at, and suggests a theme of classic pop videos.

The mise en scene in this video is that of a board game, rolling dice, and finding new characters and people on the way, to try and complete challenges.

The setting includes cotton candy clouds, caramel, and jelly, which is linked to classic cheesy and fun pop videos.

ROCKBON JOVI- LIVIN’ ON A PRAYER

This music video links to the classic rock videos of the time, big hair, leather jackets and filming the video in front of a large crowd of fans, preferable at a concert, in order to piece together he footage from that and create a classic rock music video.

Many rock bands did this in the day, as well as bands outside of the rock genre, as it was popular to film during concerts to create a video.

The lyrics of the song also link to the video, as it is ‘livin on a prayer’ and the music video involves the band members flying around, it also gives off a heavenly feel, this is classic for rock bands to do this, as normally rock is associated with heaven and hell themed songs and videos.

This video has parts which link well to the country genre, however it also involves mainly clips outside of the country genre, such as in busy streets, which is not associated with the classic country music.

This contrasts to the normal country music videos, as they would tend to be in barns, or other country music associated places.

The only reason for the video stepping outside of the usual video, and that is so then it can link to the song, the video fits in well with the lyrics of the song, as it is mostly people living in large cities who tend to work 9 to 5.

This video links well into the rap genre, from the use of the way that Eminem uses his body language shown in numerous scenes, the way his hands move suggest that he is rapping out his inner feelings, which is what most rappers do, they do it to send a message to the viewer and listener of the video and lyrics.

ALTERNATIVECOLDPLAY- VIVA LA VIDA

This music video appears to represent some sort of old oil painting, that has gotten old, and the paint has cracked over time due to its age. This links to the lyrics of the song as it appears that the lyrics suggest some form of kingdom, which nowadays is not mentioned much.

The effects on the video appear to be darker, in order to emphasize the age of the theme of the video, and to link to old paintings more, and the dark ages.
