PACKAGE BENEFITS COST

As an exhibitor, I cannot say how pleased we were with the professionaland thorough job done by the Craigslist team... There were more thanenough participants wandering through the exhibition area to make theevent worthwhile, but most importantly, they were decision-makers fortheir respective organizations, and exactly the type of person we werehoping to meet at this event. I feel that we experienced the equivalent ofmany years of cold-call introductions in just one day’s worth of BootCamp exposure. It was all we had hoped for...and then some.

APPENDIX 3: FAQ’s

1. Where does the money go? All sponsorship funds and registration fees go to Craigslist Foundation, a publicly supported 501(c)3 organization that “provides knowledge, resources and visibility to the next generation of nonprofit leaders.”Less than 10% of our income goes to administrative expenses, so the vast majority of income directlybenefits our work supporting emerging nonprofit leaders and social entrepreneurs. These vital contributionsalso allow us to keep the cost of Nonprofit Boot Camp to $50/person (including meals, workshops, seminarsand keynotes, as well as free entry to related events and lunches with industry experts via our LeadershipCouncil mentor matching program). This makes Boot Camp accessible to the widest possible audience.

2. Why don’t you just ask craigslist for the money? In order to maintain our status as a publicly supported 501(c)3 nonprofit, Craigslist Foundation is required toappeal to a broad base of funders. In 2005, craigslist.org provided Craigslist Foundation with approximatelyhalf of all cash revenues. We feel strongly that maintaining this status is integral to our ability to serve thecommunity and fulfill our mission; being a grassroots, small nonprofit with a full-time staff of four versus acorporate/private foundation allows us to more effectively associate with and understand the nonprofits andsocial enterprises we serve.

3. What are the deadlines associated with inclusion of my logo on collateral? April 1st: Flyer I June 15th: Flyer II, e-Flyer, Poster July 15th: Written Program July 25: Signage Logo on web site begins immediately upon upload and continues for one year thereafter.

4. What is your sponsorship goal? Our sponsorship goal for 2007 is $180,000. We intend to raise $120,000 in corporate sponsorship,$50,000 in grants and $10,000 in exhibitor fees. Last year we raised a total of $119,000, including$77,000 in corporate sponsorship, $28,000 in grants and $13,000 in exhibitor revenue.

5. What is the breakdown of attendance by Bay Area region? At the 2006 Bay Area Boot Camp, 34.2% of the nonprofit attendees came from the East Bay, 27% fromSan Francisco, 14% from the South Bay/ Peninsula, 5% from the North Bay/Marin area and 4% out ofstate/country.

6. Can I have product exclusivity with my sponsorship? Craigslist Foundation cannot guarantee category exclusivity to our sponsors, except for the three PresentingSponsors. We will work to ensure that each sponsor is given sufficient separation from competitive sponsors.

7. Who are your media partners? “Each of the seminars I attended was highly informative, inspiring and better than I could havehoped for. The exhibitors had solutions that I either need now or will need in the future. I wouldnot have been aware of most of the companies and the services they offer had I not attended theevent. The best part was the people I had the pleasure to meet and talk with. The positive energy, passion, and desire to “Make A Difference” was palpable. It was like being at a rock concert but thevibe was all about how we are going to make the world a better place, Sign Me Up!”

“Congratulations on a wonderful conference on Saturday! I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed thegroup who participated in the workshop I presented. They were engaged, lively and fully participated. It was great. Thank you for including me as faculty.” - Lisa Hoffman, Coach - Consultant

“Boot Camp was an amazing day - to be surrounded by people, so committed to make a difference andso generous in sharing their knowledge and experience. I am novice in this social field, just having leftthe business world to start a program to develop the talents and career opportunities for teenagersaffected by AIDS. So this was the perfect place for me to be at. It was an invigorating experience andI met many people who am sure are going to be instrumental in making my dream a reality.”

- Elsie Rodriguez

“I owe Craigslist Foundation Boot Camp for every bold move I’ve made since that Saturday last summer...Today, I am working for myself, have been growing my business for five months, and still refer to the notesI took at the conference. The energy and spirit at the conference, coupled with practical information madea hazy idea take shape, get realized, and set my course to try making a difference.”

- Evan Schoninger, Founder and Publisher, Greene Street Greetings
