The ADTRAN hiX 5600 VDSL2 Vectoring line card provides carriers with a single slot module that offers 48 ports and provides the operator an optimized solution for DSL over POTS services, including full onboard line test capabilities manageable from remote. This allows carriers to optimize their network infrastructure, providing simplified deployment and provisioning options and lowering overall operational cost.

The ADTRAN 48-port VDSL2 over POTS vectoring line card provides the active crosstalk cancellation (vectoring) of the noise from surrounding lines in the same cable, if these lines are connected to the same module. Vectoring groups of up to 48 ports are supported on a single card by Board-Level Vectoring (BLV). For applications where more than one line card is required, a service unit like SU_SLV192 can provide a central vectoring engine for up to four VDSL2 vectoring line cards, which allows System-Level Vectoring (SLV) of up to 192 lines in one cable.

The VDSL2 vectoring line card is optimized for DSL over POTS application bands and is spectrum compatible to G.992 Annex A. This application using external splitters is supported by special onboard SELT and DELT features for remote line testing of the DSL circuit. The onboard line test is manageable from the network management system.

Flexible and configurable, the VDSL2 line card allows operators to configure both upstream and downstream transmission rates or allows the interfaces to adapt to the best possible rates on the subscriber loop.
