HEALTH & SAFETY STATEMENT
The Organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.
For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid accidents occurring and must at all times obey the
instructions of the Organisers and Stewards.
RULES AND GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. Equine Flu Precautions… All equines on showfield must be vaccinated up to at least current recommendations.ie booster within last 12 months min.
2. The Judge’s decision will be final. 3. All riders must be minimum of 3 years old on 1 January 2019 4. All competitors must wear properly fitted hat to current legal
standard at all times when mounted. 5. Competitors on lead rein are NOT permitted to enter ANY other
classes off the lead rein except Class 8 Family Pony, Class 18 Ridden M&M Small breeds. WHP Nursery Stakes competitors MAY have lead reins provided the rider competes Hors Concours only.
6. Leading reins must be attached to noseband or halter NOT to bit. 7. It is the competitor’s responsibility not to enter two classes which
appear likely to clash. In the event, the competitor must decide which class to enter, as classes cannot be held up indefinitely.
8. NO whips or spurs in Gymkhana events. 9. Any incorrect use of either whips or spurs in the showing classes
will result in elimination. 10. In the event of an objection, a £10 deposit must be paid to the
Secretary within 30 minutes of the end of the class. 11. The Committee reserves the right to restrict entries. 12. The Committee reserves the right to cancel any event or modify
the schedule. 13. All dogs MUST be KEPT ON LEADS. 14. No galloping allowed outside the rings. 15. The Show Organisers and the Land Owners or Tenants cannot be
held responsible for any accident, damage, injury or loss to any competitor, visitor, vehicle or animal.
16. Trophies remain at all times the property of Diptford Gymkhana. 17. Engraving of trophies is the responsibility of the winner. 18. Trophies won this year must be returned to the Show Secretary
by 1st May next year. 19. No parking at the ringside except for disabled drivers displaying
badges.

DIRECTIONS
This year’s Show will be held at AVONWICK TQ10 9ET Grid Reference SX 710585
A38 Westbound leave at Wrangaton slip road and turn left at top. At Kitterford Cross turn left. Into Avonwick and turn left at T junction.
A38 Eastbound Leave at Woodpecker junction (signposted South Brent Totnes and Avonwick) at the Shell petrol station. Turn right signed Avonwick and follow road to Avonwick.
At Avonwick the show will be clearly signposted.
ALL COMPETITORS HACKING TO THE SHOWFIELD ARE RECOMMENDED TO WEAR HIGH-VIZ CLOTHING
NOTE ALL VEHICLES IN EXCESS OF 7.5 TONNES MUST LEAVE A38 AT WRANGATON
SLIP ROAD AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS FOR A38 WESTBOUND AS ABOVE.
