On this feast of the Presentation, the Gospel of Luke gives us a lovely scene on which to reflect. Mary and Joseph bring the child Jesus to the Temple to present him to the Lord. In the Temple, both Simeon and Anna, elders in the Temple, recognized Jesus as the Messiah,
and gave witness to his presence. We come to Mass each week and receive Jesus Christ in Holy Communion. As we go forth from Mass
today, we too give witness to Christ. Let us pray that in all we say and do, Christ will be
visibly present in our lives.

The sixth grade created edible/3D plant and animal cells in science!
Third grade has been busy learning about matter and how it changes in science. We recently did an experiment with physical and chemical changes. We made pancakes! First we made a solution, then we cooked it. The heat from the pan created a chemical change turning the batter into a pancake! We dyed some and cut them into shapes, creating a physical change. Finally, we ate them! (Another chemical change!) We enjoyed learning about science in a hands on way!

It Takes a Village to Help our Children Live their Best Lives!
The Kids Healthy Minds Initiative (KHMI) is an awareness and education program presented by clinicians
from Franciscan Children’s Hospital in partnership with the Archdiocese of Boston.
Today’s youth have many challenges that can lead to stress, anxiety or depression. How do you know when it’s a typical developmental stage or if the child needs some extra help? Come learn about the
differences, how to help youth better cope with life’s stressors and how to get professions help if needed.
All Parents/Guardians/Grandparents and adults who interact with children will benefit from this program. Please note this is a required parent class for Sunday Faith Formation families,
but we encourage ALL our Faith Formation families to attend.
Please join us on either
Sunday, March 15 from 8:45-9:45 am in St. Joseph Cafe
or
Sunday, March 22 from 10-11 am in St. Francis Dining Hall (Please note St. Francis has an 11am Mass so there is only on street parking for this event.)
The entire local community is invited and there is no charge for the program.
Questions? Contact Office of Faith Formation/Medford Collaborative at (781) 396-0423 or email [email protected]

Are you an adult who has not yet been baptized and would like to explore the possibility of being baptized?
Are you an adult who was baptized in a non-Catholic Christian community and would be interested in entering into full communion with the Catholic Church?
Are you an adult who was baptized in the Catholic Church as a child, never received further faith formation, and would like to pursue reception of the sacraments beyond baptism?
Are you an adult who did not complete your Religious Education and would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation?
If any of these descriptions applies to you, please consider your possible participation in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults – RCIA. Please feel free to pass this notice on to a family member or friend.
The RCIA is the process of spiritual and catechetical formation through which adults decide to be baptized or enter into full communion with the Catholic Church.
If you are interested, have any questions or would like to participate, please contact the parish office or Fr. Peter Shen at [email protected]
