• Stella is age 67 and suffering from continuous body tremors. She is also experiencing other motor problems such as difficulty balancing, sluggish movement, stiffness, and hand cramps. Along with these motor impediments, she is also experiencing muffled speech patterns, frozen facial expressions, and depression.

Personal Ties

• My Grandma is Stella who is now 72 and is still living with Parkinson’s Disease.

• As she has aged the disease has progressed into more severe symptoms of tremors and motor difficulties that has caused her to live in a nursing home.

• She is currently on a variety of medications to help treat the disease. One of which is Levodopa.
