God has called REAL MOMENTUM to gather men together to seek His face for Revival!

These 40 Days of Revival for Men is for the men of God, for the men of the church to rise up, receive a Word from God, and to prepare to lead our families and churches spiritually as God has called us!

God has used Bret Donovan, our new Mission Development Director, to take all the New Testament Commands of God as the foundation for this 40 Day Prayer Guide for Men.

We pray that God hears our prayers so that no family or church is without God-filled, Bible-believing, Christ following men of God who are committed to their families, committed to the local church, committed to character, committed to loving and leading others spiritually.

I believe that these incredible days are going to be some of the most spiritually defining times for men, families, and churches. Join us in asking God to move men!

40 DAYS OF REVIVAL FOR MEN • WEEK 1

Day #1Abiding- Pray MEN spend time each day in God’s Word and apply what they learn to their lives. They know this is key to living the life God expects of us. Lord, help them “choose the good part” to stay close to You. (Luke 10:39, 42)

Accept All People- Pray MEN lead their families spiritually by example considering the hearts of individuals while showing no partiality among people and love others as they love themselves. (Rom. 15:7, 11; Col. 3:11; James 2:1)

Adultery- Pray MEN love and protect God’s women as they also seek to protect the Bride of Christ, the Church. Help them follow Your command to not commit adultery, holding marriage in honor. (Matt. 5:27-28; Heb.13:4; Rev. 2:20-24)

Alertness- Pray MEN remain alert and be on guard for their own lives, families, and the church, expecting the return of Jesus Christ. Pray also that men will remain alert and on guard against Satan and false teaching. (Mark 13:35-37; Acts 20:28; 1 Corin. 16:13-14, 1 Thes. 5:5-6; 1 Pet. 5:8-9; 2 Pet. 3:17-18)

Day #2Ambassadors for Christ- Pray MEN embrace the command to take the Gospel message to the people around us. Lord, let them shine so bright for You sharing Your Good News. (Matt. 9:37-38; Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 5:19-20; Luke 8:39; Luke 9:2,6: Luke 10:1; Luke 11:33; Luke24: 45-49; 1 Cor. 9:19-23; 1 Cor. 10:32-33; 2Cor. 5:18-20; 2 Cor. 6:2-10; 1 Pet. 2:9; 1 Pet. 3:15)

Anger- Pray MEN find no place in their walk or their responses to any circumstances that result in angry thoughts, angry words, or angry actions. (Eph. 4:26-27; Eph. 4:31; James 1:19-20)

Appearance of Wrong- Pray MEN walk as Christian disciples living a life that is above reproach before men. Ask God to help them live close and clean. (2 Cor. 8:19-21; 2 Cor. 13:1; Phil. 2:14-16)

Day #3Arguing- Pray MEN will not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient in humility to edify others rather than to “be right” at the expense of unity and peace. (2 Tim. 2:14-18; 2 Tim. 23-26; Titus 3:9)

Avoid Sinful Brethren- Pray MEN have the discernment and wisdom to recognize the danger of fellowship with those who claim to be followers of Christ, but continue to live in sin. (1 Cor. 5:9-13; 2 Thes. 3:6, 14-15; 2 Tim. 3:1-5, 10-11)

Bitterness- Pray MEN keep their hearts tender and girded with a spirit of forgiveness to endure trials with grace. (Heb. 12:15-16; James 3:14)

Day #4Boasting- Pray MEN will maintain freedom from envy, awareness that all good things come from the Lord, and walking with humility. (Gal 5:26; Gal. 6:14)

Care for Others / Good Deeds- Pray MEN will selflessly care for others without the expectation of anything in return. (Matt. 5:16; Rom. 12:15; Rom. 15:1-2; Gal. 6:9-10; Phil. 2:3-4; Phil. 4:5; 1Thes. 5:14; 2Thes. 3:13; Titus 3:8; Heb. 13:16; James 3:13; 1Pet. 2:12; Rev. 3:2-3)

Children- Pray MEN recognize that they are the primary theologian, apologist, and historian for their children. Ask God for grace and courage for MEN as they lead their family in such a way that children would desire to honor their parents. (Matt. 15:4; Eph. 6:1-3; Col. 3:20)

Day #5Circumcision- Pray MEN remove their pride to experience true heart change and cast ego aside, not seeking the approval of men but of God. (Rom. 2:29)

Comfort- Pray MEN understand their present trials are for their good and God’s glory, seeking to comfort others in difficult circumstances. (2 Cor. 1:3-4; Matt. 5:4)

Contentment- Pray MEN discover true contentment with the Lord’s provision and providence. May their awareness of the Lord’s blessings in their life rise into focus, free from the love of the material things of earth. (Phil. 4:11; 1 Tim. 6:6-8; Heb. 13:5-6)

Deacon- Pray MEN are raised up to a new level of faithfulness and obedience to serve others within their communities. Give men a heart to minister to widows and orphans. (1 Tim. 3:8-10, 12)

Day #6Dependence on God- Pray MEN submit their full trust, confidence, and reliance on the Lord Jesus and die to self. (Matt. 11:28-30; Phil. 4:13)

Develop Leaders- Pray MEN experience revival in discipleship, pouring Godly wisdom from generation to generation. (2 Tim. 2:2; 1 Tim. 5:22)

Devotion and Priority is for God- Pray MEN will make God #1 in their lives and realize life is no longer about their desires and wants… life is totally about serving God according to His purpose for their lives. (Matt. 6:24, 10:37-39, 16:23-26, 19:29; Luke 9:23, 9:26, 9:57-62, 14:26-28, 14:33; Rom. 12:1, 13:14, 14:8; 2 Cor. 5:9; Phil. 2:12; 3:12-16, 3:20, 4:1: Col. 3:1-2; 2 Tim. 2:4; Heb. 13:13; 1Pet. 1:17, 5:12; Jude 1:20-21)

Day #7Diligent- Pray MEN will give their very best at everything they do for God and for others. (Luke 12:35-37; 1Cor 9:24; 2 Tim. 2:5, 2:15; Heb. 4:11, 6:11-12; 2 Pet. 3:14)

Discernment- Pray MEN use biblical principals for clarity of thought in making decisions… help them see Truth from error and stand firm on the Word of God. (Matt. 7:6, 7:15)

Divorce- Pray MEN honor their brides, courageously protecting and loving God’s women, leading them with understanding and serving them as Christ loved the Church. (Matt. 5:31-32, 19:9; Mark 10:11-12; 1 Cor. 7:10-13, 15-16)

Day #8Do Your Part- Pray MEN acknowledge although at times they need the help and support of others, they should always do their part in fulfilling what God has called them to do. (Gal. 6:5; Eph. 4:16; 1 Thes. 4:9-12; 2 Thes. 3:10; 1Tim. 5:8)

Drunkenness- Pray MEN walk free from the influence of intoxication and walk led by and filled with the Holy Spirit. (Eph. 5:18)

Edification- Pray MEN remain teachable while instructing and admonishing others in their behavior and knowledge of God. (Rom. 15:14)Encourage- Pray MEN walk with goodness and gentleness building up and encouraging other they are responsible for as husbands and father as well as leading in the church. (Col. 4:8; 1 Thes. 5:11)

Day #9Enemies- Pray MEN engage enemies with understanding hearts of compassion and conviction to overcome evil with good. (Rom. 12:20-21)

Envy- Pray MEN walk free from covetousness and unhealthy possessive desires to live in contentment, running from jealousy. (Gal. 5:26)

Examine Self- Pray MEN examine and test themselves frequently to ensure they are in the faith, not with hypocrisy or boastful. (2 Cor. 10:12-18, 13:5; Gal. 6:4)

Day #10Faith- Pray MEN increase their faith and trust of their Lord Jesus Christ, fully believing in the God’s promises. May they not give place to the fear of man. (Matt. 17:20, 21:21-22; Mark 11:22-24; Luke 17:5-6; Heb. 11:6)

Faithfulness- Pray MEN live with integrity and shepherd their responsibilities of stewardship in every area of their lives. (Matt. 22:45-47; Mark 9:49-50; Luke 16:9-12)

False Teaching- Pray MEN grow in their ability to recognize and not follow pragmatic influence or false teaching. (1 Thes. 5:20-21; Heb. 13:9; 1 John 4:1; Jude 1:3-4, 17-19)

Day #11Fasting- Pray MEN embrace fasting as a sacrificial compliment of prayer in their relationship with Almighty God. (Matt. 6:16-18; Acts 14:23)

Fear- Pray MEN keep their eyes fixed on Jesus as Savior and their trust in Him as their strong tower… perfect love casts out all fear. Thank You that You didn’t give a Spirit of fear but of power and of love and a of sound mind! (Matt. 8:26; Mark 4:40; Luke 8:25, 12:4-7)

Forgiveness- Pray MEN are kind to others everywhere with a spirit of forgiveness as their heavenly Father forgave us. (Matt. 18:35; Mark 11:25-26; Luke 17:3-4; Eph. 4:32)

Day #12Freedom in Christ- Pray MEN walk free from sinful strongholds and don’t give the evil one an opportunity… fully understanding their call to freedom in Christ. (Gal. 5:1, 5:13-14)

Fruit Bearing- Pray MEN understand God expects them to bear fruit for Him… sharing the Gospel, doing good, giving to God and others, praising Him, growing in knowledge of Him, etc. (Matt. 3:10, 7:17-20, 13:23; Mark 4:20; Luke 6:43-45, 8:15; John 15:4-6, 8, 16)

Fruit of the Spirit- Pray MEN display these basic characteristics that followers of Christ should demonstrate in their lives. (Gal. 5:22-23; Eph. 4:2-3, 5:18-20; 1 Pet. 3:11)

Day #13Gentle- Pray MEN live with sympathy, love, and understanding while standing firm in truth and righteousness. (Matt. 5:5)

Giving- Pray MEN understand as they serve others, it will be measured to them and let them give cheerfully, expecting nothing in return. (Mark 4:23-25; Luke 6:38; 2 Cor. 8:1-5, 12-14, 9:6-11; Phil. 4:14-16)Greed- Pray MEN guard themselves from every form of greed, including any assumption of greed. (Luke 12:15, 20-21; Eph. 5:3)

God’s Armor- Pray MEN are prepared to battle the negative spiritual influence of evil by putting on and wearing the Armor of God. (Eph. 6:11, 1 Thes. 5:8)

Day #14God’s Glory- Pray MEN live their lives developing a legacy of doing everything to the glory of God. (1 Cor. 10:31; Col. 3:17)

God’s Grace- Pray MEN recognize God’s grace will enable them with Supernatural strength to deal with the trials of this life. (2 Cor. 12:9-10)

God’s Power- Pray MEN acknowledge God’s power will enable them to accomplish what He has commanded them to do. (Eph. 6:10; Col. 1:29)

Day #15God’s Will- Pray MEN recognize God is in control of their lives and they should make plans according to His will. (James 4:15)

God’s Word- Pray MEN embrace that they need to be studying and applying God’s Word to their lives. (Matt. 5:6; Luke 11:34-36; Phil. 4:8; Col. 2:2-4, 3:16; 1 Tim. 6:20-21; 2 Tim. 1:13-14, 2:7, 3:14-17; 1 Pet. 2:1-3; 2 Pet. 1:19-21)

Gossip- Pray MEN do not use their words in a way other than to speak the truth in love. (2 Tim. 2:16-17)

Day #16Government- Pray MEN respect and walk in mindful submission to governing authorities as they are established by God. (Rom. 13:1-2, 13:6-7; Titus 3:1-2; 1 Pet. 2:13-17)

Grieving the Holy Spirit- Pray MEN seek to walk in honesty and purity, passionately seeking to glorify God. (Eph. 4:30)

Grumbling- Pray MEN respect God’s providence and excel at God’s work with a spirit of worship. (Phil. 2:14; Jude 1:16)

Day #17Hatred- Pray MEN walk free from inflicting any physical, emotional, or spirtual harm including carrying any hatred in their hearts. (Matt. 5:21-24; 1 John 2:8-9, 3:15)

Holiness- Pray MEN realize God saved them to live a holy life and He has very high expectations of us…they cannot live a perfect life of holiness, but as they use God’s resources be holy as He is holy. (Matt. 5:48; John 8:11; 2 Cor. 7:1; Eph. 4:22-24; Col. 3:12-14; 1 Thes. 5:22; 2 Tim. 2:19-21; 1 Pet. 1:14-16, 2:5)

Hope- Pray MEN hold fast to the confession of their hope, fixing their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith. He is faithful! (Heb. 16:18-19, 10:23-25, 12:2-3)

Day #18Hospitality- Pray MEN understand the real meaning of hospitality is to love strangers, so the focus is not just on the people they know, but also includes the people they don’t know. (Luke 14:12-14; Rom. 12:13; Heb. 13:2; 1 Pet. 4:9)

Humility- Pray MEN stay clear of a boastful attitude and the dangers of pride, walking in a spirit of humility. God, remind them that You reject the proud but give grace to the humble. (Matt. 6:1-4; Luke 14:11, 18:14; Rom. 12:3; James 4:10; 1 Pet. 5:5-6)

Imitators- Pray MEN of God follow the example of Jesus Christ and the heroes of their faith, leading this generation with reverence to God. (1 Cor. 11-1; Eph. 5:1-2; Phil. 2:5, 4:9; 1 Thes. 1:6-8)

Judging Others- Pray MEN understand they are commanded against making judgments of others and give them a spirit of respect and forgiveness. (Matt. 7:1-2, 5; Luke 6:37, 41-42; 1 Cor. 4:3-6; Col. 2:16-23; James 4:11-12, 5:9)

Day #19Joy- Pray MEN have their hearts and minds filled with joy…the joy of the Lord is their strength. (James 1:2-4)

Lawsuits- Pray MEN do not walk in a litigious manner but rather seek to live together in peaceful unity. (1 Cor. 6:7-8)

Lord’s Supper- Pray MEN examine themselves regularly, honoring the Lord in remembrance of His sacrifice by His body being broken and shedding His blood for the remission of their sin. (1 Cor. 11:23, 26-28)

Day #20Love- Pray MEN meditate on the definition/description of what God’s love looks like and live it. (1 Cor. 13:4-7, 14:1; 1 Tim. 1:5)

Loving All People- Pray MEN love others more than they love themselves. (Matt. 5:43-45, 7:12; Mark 12:31; Luke 6:27-29, 35; John 13:34-35, 15:12, 17; Rom. 12:9-10, 13:8-10; 1 Cor. 10:24; 2 Cor. 2:6-8; Heb. 3:1; James 2:8; 1 Pet. 1:22, 4:8; 1 John 3:10-11, 17-18, 23, 4:7-8, 21; 2 John 1:5-6)

Loving God- Pray MEN love God with all of their hearts, all of their souls, all of their minds, and all of their strength…the greatest commandment. (Matt. 3:27; Mark 12:29-30; Luke 10:27; Rev. 2:4-5)

Day #21Lying- Pray MEN always seek to live honestly, with a clear conscience, speaking the truth in love. (Eph. 4:25)

Malice- Pray MEN do not harbor any malice or vengefulness and walk in a spirit of sincerity and truth. (1Cor. 5:8)

Marriage- Pray MEN honor their marriage recognizing that the ultimate aim for marriage is God’s glory, the ultimate picture is the Gospel, and the ultimate hope is God’s grace. (1 Cor. 7:3; 2 Cor. 6:14-17; Eph. 5:33)

Day #22Marriage (Husbands)- Pray MEN honor their wives and lead them with loving protection and respect. (Eph. 5:25-32, 6:4, Col. 3:19, 21; 1 Pet. 3:7)

Marriage (Wives)- Pray MEN cherish their wives and encourage them to serve the family and the church with their unique gifts. (Eph. 5:22; Col. 3:18; 1Pet. 3:1-4)

Masters- Pray MEN have reverence to those individuals in positions of authority and serve them with a joyful spirit as to the Lord. (Eph. 6:9; Col. 4:1; 1 Tim. 6:2; James 5:4)

Day #23Maturity- Pray MEN are always growing in respect to their faith and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Heb. 5:14)

Maturity (Older Men)- Pray MEN will desire to lead younger men who long for a mentor in their lives. Help more seasoned men to be ready to grow more temperate, dignified, sensible, and in love as intentional disciple makers. (Titus 2:2)

Maturity (Older Women)- Pray MEN help shepherd their wives and daughters to recognize their worth as wives and mothers. (Titus 2:3)Maturity (Younger Women)- Pray MEN and WOMEN intentionally reach out to help sheperd the younger women to love their husband and to love their children so that the Word of God will not be dishonored. (Titus 2:4-5)

Day #24Maturity (Younger Men)- Pray MEN that are mature men of God will seek to disciple younger men to surrender to God and His Word… being sensible, examples of good deeds, with purity in doctrine and sound in their speech. (Titus 2:6-8)

Maturity (Bond-Slaves)- Pray MEN enable those in their debt to be non- argumentative and honest. (Titus 2:9-10)

Maturity (All)- Pray MEN develop and grow personally in their faith, becoming men who are apt to teach, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, living as true examples for others to follow. (Titus 2:11-14; Heb. 6:1-2; 2 Pet. 1:5-11)

Day #25Mercy- Pray MEN choose to respond with gentleness and understanding. (Matt. 5:7; Luke 6:36, 10:36-37; James 2:12-13)

Obeying God’s Commands- Pray MEN obey the commands of God…when they obey God’s commands, they will reap a blessing. Give MEN the conviction to obey You, no matter the consequences. (Matt. 7:21-23; Luke 6:46, 8:21; 11:28; John 3:21, 8:31-32, 14:15, 21, 23-24, 31; 15:9-10, 14; 2 Thes. 2:15; 1Tim. 6:13-14; Heb. 12:25; 1 John 2:3, 3:24, 5:2-3)

Order- Pray MEN accept responsibility –rejecting passivity- to lead spiritually by honoring the Lord Jesus in word and in deed, recognizing Jesus as the head of every man. (1 Cor. 11:3)

Day #26Orphans- Pray MEN step up to engage children of single parent households, serving as good role models worth following. (James 1:27)

Pastor/Elder/Overseer Expectations- Pray MEN grow in their faith to serve the body of Christ in leadership capacity and pray for protection over those who are currently serving in that capacity. Ask God to call a new generation of church leaders! (1 Tim. 3:2-7, 4:12-13; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Pet. 5:1-3)

Pastor/Elder/Overseer – Appreciation/Support- Pray MEN will honor and respect their pastors and church staff leaders. Ask for wisdom in how to support your pastor and to come alongside him in advancing the Kingdom. (1 Thes. 5:12-13; 1 Tim. 5:17-19; 2 Tim. 2:6; Heb. 13:7, 17)

Day #27Patience- Pray MEN allow diligence, trials, and chastening to develop greater patience and perseverance. (James 5:7-8)

Peace- Pray MEN know and foster the peace that surpasses all understanding and know where it comes from. (Matt. 5:9; Rom. 12:18, 14:19; Col. 3:15; Heb. 12:14; James 3:18)

Persecution- Pray MEN understand that true disciples will face persecution because they hated Jesus before they hated us. (Matt. 5:10-11, 10:23, 26-28; Luke 12:8-9; 2 Tim. 3:10-12; Heb. 10: 34-36)

Day #28Possessions- Pray MEN acknowledge that stewardship is managing all that they are and all that they have in such a way the honors God. Everything belongs to God and the way to honor Him is with open hearts and open hands. (Luke 12:33-34)

Praise- Pray MEN pursue intimacy with the Lord and offer praise to Him, giving thanks to His Name, the Name above all names. (Heb. 13:15)

Prayer- Pray MEN experience revival in their relationship with the Lord through prayer. Everything changes when they seek the face of God! Seek Him more than ever! (Matt. 6:5-15, 7:7-8; Luke 11:9-10, 18:1, 7; John 14:13-14, 15:7, 16:24; Acts 14:23; Rom. 12;12, 15:30; Eph. 6:18-20; Col. 4:2-4; 1 Thes. 5:17; 1 Tim. 2:1-2, 8; James 1:5-6, 4:3, 5:13-16; 1 Pet. 3:12, 4:7; 1 John 3:22)

Preparation- Pray MEN stay alert and ready, fixing their hope on Jesus. The future is for the prepared. May they not get caught off guard because they have been complacent! (1 Pet. 1:13)

Day #29Pride- Pray MEN lead their families by dying to self every day and aware of the sinful danger of pride. (1 Cor. 10:12)

Prisoners- Pray MEN never forget or neglect to pray for and visit brothers/sisters incarcerated for the name of Jesus. (Heb. 13:3)

Day #30Reconciliation- Pray MEN always seek to live in a right relationship with God and others. If they have something against someone, seek to reconcile. If someone has something against them, seek to reconcile. Then worship! (Matt. 5:23-24)

Sins Should Not Be Your Master- Pray MEN, even though true followers of Christ are still going to occasionally sin, that sin not be consistent or taking over influence in their lifestyle. Speech- Pray MEN focus on edifying words coming out of their mouths, realizing their testimony and their choices influence others in a negative fashion. Lord, cleanse their hearts. (Matt. 12:36-37; Eph. 4:29, 5:4; Col. 4:5-6; James 1:26, 3:2, 9-10; 1 Pet. 3:10)

Day #35Spiritual Gifts- Pray MEN identify and serve the body of Christ through their spiritual gifts, which is their reasonable service. (Rom. 12:6-8, 1 Cor. 12:7; 1 Tim. 4:14; 2 Tim. 1:6; 1 Pet. 4:10-11)

Stealing- Pray MEN honor God with their stewardship of time, talents, gifts, and resources. (Rom. 2:21; Eph. 4:28)

Keith Boggs founded REAL MOMENTUM in 2012 with a deep passion to engage, encourage, and equip men to lead their families and the church spiritually. Keith is a regular conference and event speaker while also offering men’s ministry coaching for pastors and men’s ministry leaders. He and his wife, Nichole, met in Waycross, GA and married in 1997. They have 10 children live in Holly Springs, GA.

Bret Donovan joined Team REAL MOMENTUM in 2020 as the Mission Development Director to focus on mission scalability and replicability for churches and organizations. Bret’s background in leading businesses from start-ups to global enterprises has prepared him for this unique opportunity in expanding the reach of REAL MOMENTUM to leaders in the marketplace and sports organizations. Bret and his wife, Sherry, of 12 years have twin daughters and live in Woodstock, GA.
