The Target Audience• The target audience for our film is 15-35

year olds and both male and females. The film is rated a 15 as it has blood/gore, a little swearing and frightening scenes.

• The audience should enjoy horror/action/thriller films and be interested in going to the cinema. The people who might watch our film will be teenagers/students and young adults who enjoy a good scare and would go out to see this film with others, such as family and friends.

Pre-production Research• For our pre-production research we

created a questionnaire, we posted this onto Blogger and also Facebook to get other people’s opinions on what they thought about our idea.

• We also created an audience profile to give us an idea of what our film needs to be like to interest the target audience.

• We then gathered the results from our questionnaire and concluded that people liked the idea and would go watch it.

How We Used It• From the questionnaire and our

audience profile we found that we didn’t need to change our storyline, as originally we were worried it wasn’t good enough and that to make sure it would be a 15 rating we added swearing into it.

• Also, as the people who filled in our questionnaire were also mainly from Yorkshire, we didn’t need to change the location or who was in it as it was appealing to the target audience of our film as we included adults as well as teenagers in our film.
