Page 2: 4 types of e-Commerce

1. Business to Consumer:Example: dcshoes.com

dcshoes.com is as the name implies, the website for DC Shoe Co. USA. This is a good example of a business to consumer site because it’s just like walking into a physical store front, but from the comfort of your own home. Each product can be viewed in all it’s colors and from multiple angles, just like in the actual store

2. Business to Business:Example: regionalsupply.com

Regional Supply is a supplier I will be using to supply my own e-commerce website. They stock everything needed to produce everything from signs to vehicle wraps. To purchase from Regional Supply, they require you to create an account under your companies name. Once you have an account you can apply for credit and charge your materials orders. Shipping is free and typically arrives in 2 days or less.

3. Consumer to Consumer:Example: ebay.com

ebay is quite possible the most popular consumer to consumer website in existence. It’s popularity aside, ebay is a prime example because of the ease at which any random individual can list an item for sale and have it be viewed instantly by millions of people the world over.

As most major companies now do, Target has a version of their website which has been optimized for viewing from a host of mobile devices. Just as you can with their full website, the mobile site allows you to search and view products and make purchases as desired.
