4-H Hosting Opportunities!
Every summer, 50 Japanese and Korean youth spend a month living with Wisconsin host families.
This year
you can host, too!
Why host?•Establish relationships•Meet people from Japan and
Korea• Understand
their culture, and yours!
When is the exchange?
One MonthJuly 25 – August 22, 2009
What do you do?• Everything!• 4-H activities• play baseball• Help on the farm• Have water fights• Go fishing• Cook together• Go swimming• Celebrate birthdays
• HAVE FUN
Requirements
• Interest in other cultures• Host sibling between 10-18 years
old• Provide room and board
(can share a room, but need their own bed)
• Participation in WI 4-H Youth Protection program for those in home 18 +
Requirements
• Include in family activities• Be flexible, patient, and
willing to communicate• Attend orientation by
telephone May 27, 2010• Meet in Madison or Wausau/
Eau Claire area July 25, 2010
