1 Key datesCentres should check the dates for oral and practical tests, which will fall outside the main written examination paper series, well in advance. These dates can be found on the relevant timetable.
Candidates starting a GCE in an Applied Subject course must be registered so that unit entries can be made for them. Registering candidates does not automatically enter a candidate for entries in the June examination series. Unit entries and cash-ins must still be submitted.
Please note that a candidate can only be registered on one package per subject and that multiple registration packages per candidate for the same subject are not allowed.
1.1 EntrydeadlinesandresultsPlease see the Key Dates section of this manual for the entry and coursework mark submission deadlines, andresultsandcertificatedates.TheKeyDatessectionalsoincludesdetailsofwhenEDIbasedata and Edexcel Online are available.
2 Entry proceduresPlease see our website qualifications.pearson.com/exam-support for details on how to make registrations and entries on Edexcel Online. It also contains information on fees, results and certification.
4 ResitopportunitiesforlegacyspecificationsCandidates taking legacy AS/A levels in any subject will have the opportunity to re-sit these qualificationsinthesummerfollowingthefinalscheduledaward.Forexample,for2015reformedsubjects,thefinalAS/Alevellegacyresitentrieswillbeinsummer2017
Only candidates who have previously entered for the AS/A level may enter for the legacy resit. Otherwise, only candidates who have good reason not to have taken it when planned (such as illness) may enter.
All units will be available, as in any normal summer series.
Candidates may carry forward their previously banked unit marks for coursework, or may submit new coursework entries.
Notes• Candidates intending to cash-in their unit scores for a subject grade must enter the appropriate
cash-in codes. Units taken on previous occasions should not be entered unless the candidate wishes to enter for the unit again to improve their results.
• Candidates must be registered in order for them to be entered for units in Applied GCEspecifications.
