Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Only oral in nursery schools and 2 first years of primary school ( cycles 1 & 2 )

French for foreigners

Nursery school : no special class, learning the natural way with others

Primary school : special classes (CLIN/ classe d’initiation) the purpose is the fast integration in normal classes for non french speaking children who are in intensive learning situation. Can progressively go for some lessons in the regular class till complete integration
