    CHANNALIZED STM-1

  • Description

    Physical media STM-1 chanalized from RNC SDH Node3 E1s to each RBS from SDH NodeMaximum 15 Node-B can be connected through 1 chanalized STM-1
  • Iub Interface

    Iub Interface is usedControl Plane-Node B Application Protocol (NBAP) and transports Radio Network control plane messages between the RBS and the Controlling RNC (CRNC).User Plane-The RNC and the RBS support a user plane over the Iub interface that is based on transport channels.
  • Trouble shoot from 3 G sites.

  • RBS/RNC Element Manager

    Graphical User InterfaceSecure as one knows what is happening.Never change properties of any Managed Object before consulting Ericsson.Easy to give reload.Do not give excessive reloads.
  • What to do if a Node B is down.

    Get its status from RNC ( complete PCM break, Sync problem or sector down)Try to get site restored remotely if possible.If the site can not be recovered remotely then it has to be recovered by attending site.

  • For checking frequency at antenna branches

    Take Right click at antenna branch and then click Properties

  • Check the Frequency at fqBand High Edge/ Low Edge

  • Both Nbap Common and Dedicated should be Enabledfor working site.

    In case of giving loop towards the BTS only Nbap dedicated will be enabled.

  • To check weather a site is completely functional or not we have to check for all the 10 carriers in all sectors.

  • Checking for disabled ATM ports.

  • Checking for IMA group

    IMA is present in node B , IMA must be enabled for site to be functional

  • IMA group contains individual IMA at least 2 must be enabled.

  • Checking and setting up the sync reference

    ULU006 is a hub so it will take sync from optical signal at 4 number card which comes from RNC

    Check for active and OK state

  • Electrical Sync at Node B

  • Defining Sync.

  • Ok to conform defining sync

  • Configuration version

    CV_AFTER_FREQUENCYCHANGE is the latest cv ,

    If this CV is present then site wont get operational

    on any CV which was created before this CV.

  • Checking the License

  • WinFIOL

    After logging into 3G OSS moshell < IP of node B or RNC>Then type lt all.It will be followed by a prompt which indicates the name of Node.
