As kids we all had a favorite toy that we took wherever we went. We might write on it or even sling it around in the mud but at the end of the day, it’s still our favorite toy. Inevitably, we end up growing older and forgetting about playtime. But one day, for absolutely no reason, perhaps whilst looking for something else, we run by our special toy and feel a warm smile on our faces. It might remind you of your favorite bedtime story, your first play-date, the first time you went to the beach, or your first memorable birthday party. It might even remind you of how afraid you were the night before first day of party. It might even remind you of how afraid you were the night before first day of school, or when you had to stay at home with chickenpox. These toys have been through a lot with us, and no matter what it reminds us of, we just can’t give them

away. Each of us has their own lovable Woody no matter how old we might be. Two summers ago when the 3D version of Toy Story 3 was released, I forced my younger sister to come watch it. The movie brought so many memories; it reminded me of the first time I watched Toy Story 2, how excited I was, how I didn’t stop talking about it for months on end, and how the highlight of my life that year was when the McDonald’s Happy Meal toy was a small Woody figurine. Watching this movie with my little sister (who was just as old as I was when Toy Story 2 was released) and seeing how excited she became after watching Andy play with Woody and Buzz one final time before leaving became after watching Andy play with Woody and Buzz one final time before leaving for college was enough to bring tears to my eyes. Our love for those movies has grown in us as we grew. We will always love these characters, and they will always

mean to us a lot more than just good movies; no matter how old we grow.

“You know, the Lion King 3D is going be in theaters soon “ said my friend as I stood half asleep at 7:15 in the morning waiting for the bus. The idea of watching Lion King in 3D is enough to do what caffeine seemed unable to achieve! As we got into the bus (now much more alert), I glanced at the Wonderland mall and remembered how a long time ago, at a height of about 4 feet tall, I was jumping with excitement on this very platform to watch Toy Story 2 in the mall’s on this very platform to watch Toy Story 2 in the mall’s cinema. The same platform--where I wait patiently every-day while cursing about calculus--held the path to Heaven that allowed me to see the most amazing movie ever.
