CONCEPTThis program is designed to provide the physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and resident with practical diagnostic and therapeutic information covering the broad scope of clinical practice. OBJECTIVESAs a result of attending this course, the participant should be able to:• Discuss management of cirrhosis of liver• Recognize management techniques for urgent care pediatrics in the clinic
setting• Integrate patient advance directives in the office setting• Review History of Medicine- Humanities topic• Review current management and therapies in anticoagulation• Recognize and discuss management of sports-related hydration issues• Identify current recommendations for detection and management of cervical
cancer• Identify and employ management of urgent cases that present to the clinic• Diagnose and propose treatment options for sleep problems in children• Interpret new AHA recommendations for ACLS update• Recognize patients with Opioid abuse potential, offer management
techniques of such issues, and review current TMB rulings• Summarize risks and benefits of antibiotic therapy• Outline team based care for practice management• Interpret evaluation, management, and treatment options for Rhinosinusitis• Evaluate the detection and management the short of breath patient• Evaluate Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB) and discuss treatment options• Diagnose PAD and review treatment options• Describe pitfalls providers can avoid in their daily practice• Identify common urological complaints and review management options• Recognize risks and benefits associated with overzealous antibiotic use and
its contribution to Healthcare Associated Pneumonia• Consider comprehensive approach to recognition and management of
Headaches• Observe and demonstrate proper casting splinting techniques (workshop)• Review joint injection techniques (workshop)
• Interpret interactive EKG (workshop)• Paraphrase osteopathic manipulation (workshop)
ACCREDITATIONScott & White is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITScott & White designates this live activity for a maximum of 24 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
