Board of Trustees Whanau Consultation The Board of Trustees are consulting families about the curriculum areas they will be reviewing during the 2015 school year. Getting all this done ‘in one go’ means we won’t have to annoy you throughout the year. We would really appreciate all forms back at school by Thursday please. Just pop them in the box in the office. Thanks!! Duffy Assembly Wee hee – all got new Duffy Books after the assembly last week! The role model was Shelley Ryan who works at the RSPCA in Auckland. We are so lucky to be part of this programme and that our kids get the choice of such fabulous books! Hopefully there is some great holiday reading in them. WHOLE SCHOOL SWIM - YIPPEE! T Ball Congratulations to the Bluff Under 9 Taniwha TBall team who won their grade in the TBall Competition this season. All players received lovely medals to keep. Well Done!! Visit to the Bluff RSA Last Friday all classes went to visit the RSA. Thanks to Hamesh and James. We talked about the difference between WW1 and WW2 weapons and how they evolved, and how soldiers defended themselves during the war. Carrying a shovel is a must because they did a lot of digging! We found out many people died druing the war and the RSA is a place they would come to forget about memories of the war. I stand in my position “Let’s go!” I stutter. I’ve gone delusional. All I can see is people and more people. All of a sudden I hear myself yell “Good I am back”, as I am saying it in my head. A stroke of pain leaps up my arm. My arm goes numb. I stand back up – this is the last ball, if I don’t get this I have let the whole of New Zealand down. All I can see is a man in yellow running towards me. He throws the ball, it flies towards me like a bird. ‘SMACK!’ it hits the bat and goes all the way into the crowd. I look at the screen “New Zealand has won!” __________________________________________________________________________________________________ School Holiday Programme – being run here at school!
