300,000 SPORT TOURISTS TO SRI LANKA BY 2021- A PROGNOSIS
Over 5.000 German sports men and women came to Sri Lanka
Each of them spent about 2.000 Euro per stay. Consequently, a total monetary return benefit to the Sri Lanka
economy amounted to:
10 Mio. Euro = 1,500,000,000 LKR 300,000 additional tourists to Sri Lanka by 2021. Expand the
programme to other European countries.
The economic benefits for Sri Lanka if each tourist spends approx. 2000 Euro per stay:
600 Mio. Euro = 90,000,000,000 LKR
