ForewordThe PTN 912 is new generation mobile access optical

transport equipment developed by Huawei for packet

transport. The PTN 912 is applied at the access layer of a

mobile carrier network.

CF RCV

RST ButtonRST button, which is used to perform a warm reset on the board.

LAMP ButtonLAMP button, which is used to test the three alarm indicators on the board, that is, CRIT, MAJ, and MIN.

TNC1PIU Functional Features

One PIU accesses two –48 V DC

(or –60 V DC) power supplies for

the equipment

The two DC power supplies back

up each other.

The PIU protects the equipment

against lightning and reports an

alarm if the protection fails.
