The oldest references on the origin of this castle date back

In less than 100 years and after my governing orders,
this castle’s importance had
increased in such a way that further defences had
to be built.

I decided to build Castelo de Germanelo in 1142 as an
addition to help Penela in the region’s defence.
Not much is left of my “Germanelo” defence and the access is only on foot through muddy grounds.
