Project 2 Course of three lessons on nonprose reading

Objectives:

● To decode nonprose ● To interpret symbols ● To become aware of the importance of nonprose

Application:

This falls under the topic of “Directions” of the Mep in Costa Rica, so it can be applied in Public and Private schools in the 10th grade. It can be used to bring awareness and ability to read nonprose in general. The idea is to let students access these classes online and participate online in Google docs.

Nonprose is EVERYWHERE, on labels of groceries, on traffic

signs, on instruction of every type, and yes, at the airport. You’ll see that the airport is a good source for nonprose reading. Here you can see some directions in nonprose:

By now you must know very well what nonprose reading is!! Just so you practice here is a bit of homework for next class. It will be fun!

● Make 10 flashcards with photos printed on paper and glue it to cardboard.

● The photos should be of nonprose in your surroundings (at home or in the neighborhood)

● Write the meaning on the other side of the cardboard. If you don’t know the meaning, ask somebody that knows!!
