SEWING MACHINE

A sewing machine can make an excellent variety of plain or patterned stitches. They include

means for gripping , supporting , and conveying the fabric past the sewing needle to form the

stitch pattern.

The bed of a sewing machine is the part of the sewing machine on which the fabric rests while it is being sewed.

The Classification of sewing machine bed types :

1 .The fabric travels with respect to the bed while being sewed.

2 .The frame of the machine is constructed for mounting the machine.

A. VERTICAL BEDB . HORIZONTAL BED

The suspended fabric is surrounded by sections of the frame while the fabric is sewed. Such a frame limits the fabric size that can be sewed with ease.

It is a frame in which the fabric is suspended vertically from the machine as it is sewed, The supporting plane of a vertical frame is parallel to the horizontal.

These types of machines are used in leather industry and different types of accessories

attachment.

B.HORIZONTAL B.HORIZONTAL BEDSBEDS

A sewing machine frame which permits one to sew a cylindrically shaped item in one of the two following ways:

a. Length cylinder bed b. Perimeter cylinder bed

Sew all seams including double seams for denims and single seam for shirts etc.

It can sew various irregularly shaped items, tubular, bowl like items .

Special type take-up ensures uniform thread tension at low tension setting.

Off center axis hook-reducing skip stitching and thread breakage .

Post bed is sewing machine frame in which the machine bed is the top of a post which is set vertically on the lower arm of the machine directly beneath the needles of the machine , this type of machines permits one to sew concave or convex curved sections, and has an increased working height.
