Since its establishment in 1968, Aderans has developed into a leading provider of total solutions aimed at hair-related issues by taking a heartfelt approach to the creation of products that make customers happy. Currently, our focus in Japan is on Aderans for the men’s market and Fontaine by Ladies Aderans and Fontaine for women’s market. These are brands that have been well received by customers for many years. To enhance the repu-tation of these core domestic brands still further, we are directing greater effort into high-quality products, effective advertising and promotional campaigns and better after-sales services. Overseas, in North America, we are keen to generate maximum synergy between Bosley, a world leader in medi-cal and surgical hair loss solutions for men and women, and the newly acquired and well-known Hair Club, which pro-vides non- surgical hair restoration and hair loss prevention services that promote and maintain healthy hair growth in addition to hair transplantation procedures for men and women. Meanwhile, in Asia, we are rebuilding our pres-ence in China where demand for hair-related products and services is expected to grow, and in Europe, we aim to reinforce the medical-use wig business. Ultimately, our corporate mission as the Aderans Group is to use our hair-related businesses to help as many people as possible acquire the physical and emotional qualities that underpin the realization of dreams and promote a good impression, and in so doing, bring smiles to faces and sup-port happy lives. The brand includes high-quality, very fashionable custom-made wigs, as well as hair care and scalp care products and services.
Just-for-you wigs add finishing touch for personalized styleEach custom-made wig is unique, tailored to the personal characteristics and preferences of each customer to match head shape and hair texture and color. A rich assortment of products, highlighted by Fontaine Eve, Fontaine Fluffy and Sifore, are available at salons throughout Japan. Our expert staff provides full custom-made wig support, from fittings to after-sales services such as hair and scalp care and regular maintenance.
Hair Care and Scalp CareHair and scalp care is designed to improve the quality and condition of distressed hair, of course, but also deals with concerns, such as changes that accompany aging. Rich variety of ready-made wigs are easy way to have fashionable funHigh-quality, very fashionable ready-made wigs are available through department stores and directly operated salons. These wigs contain a mixture of human and synthetic hair fibers and include top-of-the-line products under the VALAN label, all made by hand, and stylish ROLOC wigs that exude personal-ity. In addition, we are promoting Swanee by Fontaine, a sister brand to Fontaine, through major distribution chains, and offer wig products, particularly in an affordable price range, to encourage greater use of our services.
Ready-made wigs are offered to beauty salons across Japan through distributors of beauty supplies. We promote sales though such opportunities as workshops for beauticians and hairstylists. We also offer ready-made wigs to cosmetics stores on a whole-sale basis and sell ready-made wigs to the general public.
Barber and hairdressing salons inside hospitalsWe have opened salons in hospitals all over Japan. These salons offer wigs, such as medicare wig Rafra, as well as typical barber and hair-dressing services, such as shampoo and cut, perms, coloring and shaving, using proprietary hair care products that are gentle to the skin, including the scalp.
Medicare Wig Rafra—inspired by patient comments Medicare wig Rafra features a lining with good ventilation and artificial hair made from a new material that exhibits antibacte-rial qualities and keeps the wearer feeling cool and comfortable. This ready-made wig is easy to put on and also very fashion-able, two key factors that make women who have never worn a wig before feel more comfortable about their choice.

What is a Bosley Hair Transplantation?It is a surgical procedure whereby a highly qualified and experi-enced physician, working with a trained clinical staff, removes healthy follicles from the back and sides of the scalp and relo-cates them to areas of hair loss on the scalp. Bosley, a U.S.-based member of the Aderans Group, is the world’s leading authority and practitioner of surgical hair restoration, and contin-ues to enjoy the top share of the North American market. As of May 31, 2013, the company has 23 surgical offices and 50 consultation office throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and recently expanded its overseas network with a surgical clinic in Singapore. Aderans love CharityLove Charity is a long-running program, originally intro-
duced in 1978 as a social contribution mea-sure to commemorate our 10th anniversary.
This program provides custom-made wigs at no cost to children aged four to 15 who have lost their hair due to some sort of trauma, such as sickness or injury.
Support for the Pink Ribbon CampaignAderans is a proud supporter of the Pink Ribbon Campaign, which comprises activities aimed at driving home the message about early detection, early diagnosis and early treat-ment of breast cancer. We strive to spread awareness by distributing pink ribbon badges to all employees.
Maintenance Support in Area affected by the Great east Japan earthquakeWe support the activities of the “One World Project”, which assists cancer patients in the area affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, and on July 1, 2012, we introduced wig adjustment and maintenance services for patients under this project.
