Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time “May the Lord bless us all the days of our lives.” (Psalm 128)

From the Files of Fr. Jared: #FamilyVacation

As you may know, October is known as the month of the Holy Rosary! In other words, it is the month that we re-dedicate ourselves to faithfully and more devoutly praying the rosary! Perhaps you are wondering, “Why do I need to pray the ro-sary?” And I could spend all month giv-ing you answers (which I will!), but how about we begin by listening to those who came before us! “The Rosary is the ‘weapon’ for these times.” -Saint Padre Pio “Say the Holy Rosary. Blessed be that monotony of Hail Marys which purifies the monotony of your sins!” -St. Josemaria Escriva “Give me an army saying the Rosary and I will conquer the world.” – Blessed Pope Pius IX

We know that our Lord first came to us through the ‘yes’ of the Blessed Mother. And that is how we return to Him, through the Blessed Mother, asking for her intercession. Why reinvent the wheel when she has given us the most perfect method to do so? This week, show me those rosaries! After Mass, on social media, via email… show me your favorite rosary to pray with! This week, #BeholdTheBeads!

A Stewardship Moment: Twenty–Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

Gifts from God

In today’s Gospel Jesus teaches us about the sa-credness of marriage; a covenant that is a gift from God. Our rela-tionships with our spouses, family, friends, coworkers, and those in our community of faith are all gifts from God. Jesus reminds us today that it is the hardened heart that damages or breaks up relationships. Good stewards understand the holiness of relationships and pray for the love, patience, understanding and kindness neces-sary to sustain those relationships. Take time out to prayerfully reflect on your relationships this week.

To Consider: Is your stewardship of these relationships as God in-tended? What relationships need to be healed and rec-onciled?

FOSTERING STEWARDSHIP In gratitude for God’s gifts of time, talent, and

treasure we gratefully acknowledge
