Over the subsequent half hour, each team animatedly battled Xs and Ys, trying to outguess others. (Sanjay even stated that he had to almost intervene as a boxing referee to keep the team leads' few offsite 'consultations' sane and in check.) Comparative scores of the 4 teams were kept updated on the scoreboard. The ten rounds initially planned, were truncated to 7, once S peakers over the years have discovered that holding a diverse audience comprising Rotarians, Annes and Rotaractors for any length of time is not an easy task. It was therefore great to see almost a hundred of this motley crowd, including President Mahesh Parikh and Secretary Harish Anand, participating whole heartedly in the Management Game conducted by Rtn. Sanjay Koppikar during the Monday meeting at RHOS on 15th September 2014.Rotaractors from RCBI,SIBM&Surana as well as Rotarians participated in it. The simple scoring pattern that was explained to everybody at the beginning, made it easy to follow scores as they unfolded. Using the facilitator's privilege (which he had warned about earlier), from the facilitator believed that the message had been driven home well. A predominance of Red in the final score got everybody to realize that teaming could have easily made it consistently black. The activity engaged everybody and demonstrated that working as a team is an imperative and not an option. It emphasized that... 'united we stand, divided we fail'! The game uniquely brought out that only when everybody thinks of the greater good, does Rotary function effectively. Kudos to Rtn. Sanjay Koppikar for a well organized event sans lectures and slides.
