The Mexican Association of Petroleum Geologists (AMGP), the Mexican Association of Exploration Geophysicists (AMGE), the Association of Petroleum Engineers of Mexico (AIPM), the College of Petroleum Engineers of Mexico (CIPM) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) - Mexico Section, invite all professionals who work for the oil industry to submit technical or research work to the Technical Program of the Mexican Petroleum Congress 2018, under the following.

III. Deliverable Full article at a maximum of 20 pages.
IV. Characteristics 1. The manuscripts may be in Spanish or English.2. They must be sent to the Technical Program Committee of the Congress with a maximum length of 20 pages, including tables, graphs, figures, photographs, etc., which must be placed in the corresponding place and sent in TIFF or JPG format with a 300 dpi minimum quality.3. They should be written in a column with 3 cm margins on the left side and 2 cm margins on the remaining sides. The interlinear spacing should be 1.5, with 12 point Arial font for the text and 14 point for titles, using the corresponding orthographic accents in capital letters. The word processor must be Microsoft Word.4. The heading of the article should integrate the following information:
• Work identifier (CMP2017_XXX, leave like this and if approved, a number will be assigned)• Title of the work: it should be short and concise, without exceeding 15 words (the first in capital letters and the others in lowercase)• Information about the main author and co-authors: full name, and in parentheses name of the institution or company to which they belong
5. The structure of the article should contain:• Summary• Introduction• Topics and subtopics• Tables• Graphics• Conclusions• Nomenclatures (if applicable)• Special thanks• Annexes (if applicable)• References• Professional career of the author and co-authors
6. The summary should not exceed 250 words.7. The development of the Subject should contain: inputs used, methodology, results and discussion of results.8. Mathematical expressions should be written clearly, taking care that the symbols are legible and using the International System of Units. 9. The references listed in the development of the works should be noted indicating the author’s last name and the year of its publication. For example:“Recently, García (1996)...”, or, “In a recent work (García, 1996)...”For three or more authors: García et al. (1996). These references will be quoted at the end of the text and in alphabetical order according to the manual established by the Publication Style Guide (SPE) that are exemplified below.

Works Evaluation and Acceptance1. The deadline for acceptance notice of approved works: June 8, 2018.2. All submitted articles will be previously evaluated by two or more members of the Technical Expert Evaluators Group formed for the Mexican Petroleum Congress 2018, who will study its content and will rate and make observations about its publication. In this process, recognized and high-level specialists will participate in the different areas of expertise, with the ability and experience to reliably evaluate both the quality and originality, as well as the merit of the content of the articles received.
