BOSTON CATHOLIC APPEAL 2015— Thank you to all who have participated in the 2015 Catholic
Appeal campaign. Through the generosity of Catholics like you, the Catholic Appeal strengthens the
ministries that serve our Archdiocese and helps us to live our faith together. To make a pledge to the
Catholic Appeal, please visit www.bostoncatholicappeal.org or pick up a pledge form at the back of
church.
Dear Friends,
Happy Easter! Alleluias ring forth in our Churches this weekend as we celebrate the great Feast of Christ’s Resurrection. His death was for us; and so, too, His rising from the tomb was for us. He died as the Sacrificial Offering for our sins. He rose as the Light of our salvation. The Good News we bear wit-ness to is the Easter message. The Father’s own Beloved Son has freed us from sin and death! His tri-umph over the tomb invites us to share in his glory. What great cause for celebration – may our Allelu-ias resound joyfully!
We are called to live always as an “Easter People,” in the love of Christ. What a great gift that we have in one another, as Church. Your participation in the three parishes of our Beverly Collaborative bears witness to the larger community of Christ’s abiding presence. Christ is Risen; He is alive and so is His Church! Please share the love of Christ by joining with us for Masses each Sunday and throughout the week. All are invited to participate in our various activities and ministries – Bible Studies, Youth Ministry Programs, Young Adult Group, Prayer Communities, Choirs, Social Committees, Christian Service and Outreach, and so much more!
Thank you to all who offer so much to our parishes - Saint Margaret, Saint John the Evangelist, and Saint Mary Star of the Sea. Alleluia!
May the Joy of Easter be always in your hearts,
Fr. Mark
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
At Easter, we celebrate the triumph of Christ over sin and death, which is the fulfillment of God’s promise to humanity.
During this holy time, I ask you to consider the priests of our Archdiocese who give so much to us. The average priest is in ministry for over 50 years or more, and has offered over 20,000 Masses. Please remember our priests in your prayers during this Holy season.
Caring for the health and housing of these priests costs approximately $10 million a year. The Easter collection directly supports this need.
I am deeply grateful for your generous support of our senior priests. May God continue to bless you and your loved ones, now and always.
Wishing you a happy and holy Easter,
Sincerely yours in Christ, Cardinal Sean

Beverly Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization. It was
founded by the Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1882,
and named in honor of the navigator Christo-
pher Columbus. Originally serving as a mutual benefit society to low-income immigrant Catholics, it developed into a fraternal
service organization dedicated to providing charitable services, promoting Catholic education and actively defending Catholi-
cism in various nations.
The Knights of Columbus is not just a fraternity in name. It is a brotherhood of Catholic men who each play a part in improving
the world around them, one community at a time. They stand together in faith, dedicated to uphold the principles they cher-
ish – Charity, Unity, and Fraternity - while lending their support and strength to parish, home and fellow Knight. From charity
for worldwide causes, to helping closer to home with volunteer
activities, to a top-rated insurance program that protects those closest to you, the Knights makes the most of its brotherhood.
All men in the parish – young or old – are welcome and should consider joining the Knights of Columbus. We’d love to have
you! For more information on joining the Knights, please con-
tact Peter Jaquith – Grand Knight of Beverly Council 175 – At: [email protected].
Please pray for the following seminarians this week:
Christopher Lowe Peter Stamm Thomas Olson
A Prayer for our Seminarians Jesus, I thank You for the great gift of the priesthood in
the Church. I pray for all priests, and those in formation for priesthood, especially the seminarians of our diocese. Form their hearts to be more like Your own, the heart of the Good Shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep. Draw them to Your heart, and bless them with courage and zeal as they serve You and Your people. Give them great joy as they proclaim the Good News of the Resurrection, and wisdom and trust as they discern Your will. I ask this with great confidence in You. Amen
Please pray for the 75 Candidates receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation next week!
